Really interested in this universe!
Have been looking forward to this week, have been interested in Dark Age for some time now and this could be the perfect starting point for me 🙂
I know absolutely nothing about Dark Age so this will be very interesting. It wouldn’t be the first time BoW have gotten me into a game (erm, Dreadball, Dreadball Xtreme, Bolt Action, Dust, Frostgrave… to name a few).
I have always been attracted to the Dark Age models but never known much about the lore that surrounds them. I maybe a collector/painter at heart, my best work comes from when I understand what the miniatures are representing. I am really looking forward to this week and hopefully seeing more of the Mayan faction, attracted to those already
I have a brood starter(puds form the Om nom nom nom) and hope to decide on another faction by the end of the week so watching this series every day and seeing what looks the coolest and shiniest.
Definitely jump in to dark age, why wouldn’t you. Gorgeous minis and angels who can actually beat face. Let’s just hope that they don’t beat my face in the end.

Love the Dark Age minis – interested to see how the game plays
It’s so different, the art style and factions, from everything else I collect and play, which makes it all the more intriguing. Reminds me a bit of Mad Max with a healthy dose of more weirdness thrown in.

I was aware of Dark Age but didn’t really know anything about it apart from from ‘another miniatures game’. This video is a great insight into the Dark Age universe and has got me really intrigued!
The art work is fantastic, one of my favourite pieces must by the illustration of Bendahrin Durshe preparing for battle, awesome work. I’m certainly following this series through the week to see how the game plays.

Download the core rules for free. There are Warband Boxes, you can start with one of these each, but you will probably be adding a character or two soon.
There are quite a few books, but as scifind suggests below you can head to dark-age.com and download the rules for free. The rules and cards for each faction are also there for free download. I’d suggest you download the rules now, and take a look at the faction videos this week. Pick the faction that most appeals and grab either the Faction Starter box set, or a handful of blisters to get started. Fortunately you can really play with any of the models in your faction/sub-faction.

I really love the art work in this, not really heard about the game before. Would be awesome to win the bundle to get into it! I love the core faction!
I have really liked a lot of the models that I’ve seen for Darkage but I’ve known nothing about the fluff, characters or the game. The world they’ve created really sounds interesting and the art work is spectacular. I’m really looking forward to hearing more about the factions, characters and world. This will probably cause me to purchase a starter at a minimum.

It’s rare to find a miniatures game that I like all the factions for. I think that the artwork is superb and the setting seems fascinating. I have just started playing ‘Wasteland 2: The Director’s Cut’, so am really enjoying the sense of weird creeping madness in ‘Dark Age’. I am trying to find a miniatures game with a low model count to help my wife get into the hobby and this may well be it. I look forward to finding out more about the rules and how the average game plays out.
This is exactly how I felt when I first looked at it. I was all “These guys are my favorite faction! Wait, let me just take another look at these ones over here. These guys are my new favorite faction!” etc etc etc.
Yes, there are usually only one or two factions that appeal to me per game. I think it is the shared punk aesthetic and sinister elements that make them feel cohesive and yet distinctive. I will be watching all the videos to see which I want to start with.

This should be an interesting week. I have always associated Dark Age with miniatures that look gritty and crazy in an awesome way. I really like the old mini’s in a “that’d look cool in Necromunda” kind of way. The new range takes the awesome factor up to a whole new level! But I’ve never had time to check out the world or rules. So cheers BoW and CMoN!

I have wanted to try Dark Age for a few years now but with so many other games and responsibilities taking up both my time and money I resigned myself to the likelihood that I would most likely not count the wonderful universe of Dark Age among my list of games. With the various chances and ways to potentially win perhaps that will change. Best of luck to all.

Hoping for a win, Dark Age looks great. Can’t rationalize buying more minis… unless I use some of the forsaken low tech troops in Frostgrave… dual purpose is almost like a saving 🙂

Fantastic artwork and an interesting back story, might buy the rulebook just to do some background reading. Can’t wait to see the demo games and see if the mechanics are as attractive.

Dark age is one of those games I’ve been on the fence on for a while. I really like the models but never knew about the lore I think after this week I might be getting in to the game

Recently i have look at a lot of game pley on youtube for that game and now for me is just a question of $$ and time to get in to it , the game is really hot , the minis are amayzing and the Back ground story is hawsome , so now what not to love about a skirmish game i really think this game can become my favorite skirmish game pretty soon , and now i cant wait for more and more game play of this game ,
My 2 favorite factions are the Forsaken and the Outcast cause i simply love the human looking for a miniature and those are simply amayzing , i don’t know right now about their forces and weekness but i will discover it ;)……………soon enough

I’ve seen this game at Adepticon in the CMoN booth and loved the minis but its very interesting to hear the background. I’d assumed it took place in post-apocalyptic earth but the idea that its an alien world does open up a lot more ideas for factions and differences.

Hello everybody, I don’t know Jack about this game, I hope I’ll learn something about it this week, but in any case I love the energy you guys put in everything.
That is definately a way to draw me back into the World of Dark Age. My Saint John faction have been sitting unloved for far too long – time to move them forward again and finish painting more than the current count of two Firestorm!

At last a post apoc i can get my teeth into. I aint a big fan of zombies, lets face it its been done to death ( get the pun? :P).
but this rebuilding on a deadly planet with old high tech buildings being canabalised etc its just awesome.

Love this game!. I think it is a great gaming in the gaps set of rules based on what I have seen so far. I am looking forward to this week and learning more about the factions and the universe. There seem to be so many possibilities to add your own stories and campaigns here. Can’t wait for more!

This was interesting! I knew nothing about dark age lore, i like the idea of being an abandoned planet! Is there any possibility of an rpg based on dark age?
Honestly as time passes i find myself using my miniature collections in PnP roleplaying WAY more than in an actual wargame!

Can’t wait to see the last few Forsaken resculpts! They have done such an amazing job modernizing the whole model range while still keeping it very close to the original Brom designs.

Not really took too much notice of this game so far but boy does that artwork look amazing.
Had a few of the Dark age minis for a while now. Not enough support in the UK though. Always loved the aesthetics of it all.
I’ve been eyeing Dark Ages for a long time…. I knew this week would make me want to grab some starter sets…. Then I look at all the minis still in boxes all around my room. Just too many good games …. Guess I better speed up my painting…. I made a rule that I can’t buy new until I paint more of the old.

Maybe you’ll get to it later (I’m on that beautiful picture of Port City), but how does this game relate to the old Dark Age Feudal Lords card game? The logo for Dark Age is the same and the art looks really similar. I looked online for this and couldn’t really find anything. I can’t find any of my old cards anymore but I would love to see a card versus model comparison video if any of the specific characters are the same.

I remember seeing the miniatures and even some of the art for this game and with its new style it has intrigued me but I never knew to much about the game, I’m super excited for this week. I’m really liking the Outcasts but all the factions sound and look cool. The world sounds like alot of thought has really gone into it and for me atleast along with cool miniatures the lore of the game is just as important.
Our group in Aus has been keen to get into this already but no local distribution and a lot of stuff people want is out of stock on the CMoN site.
Any changes to this coming soon so people can actually hop on board?

Made my Mongo up the other day. He’s huge. Been running around the house with my daughter shouting “Mongo like fighting” ala Blazing saddles.
This overview was really helpful. I had picked up a lot of this from reading the books but working through it cohesively like this really helped pull it together in a more meaningful way for me.

Well this looks amazing. The art is beautiful. I like the Fallout meets Mad Max vibe as I’m a fan of both.
I have admired the Dark Age world for many years now, buying various miniatures but real tempted to get in to this mire as the new minis are so much better it a far more consistent quality. Looking forward to the rest of this week

Real nice design – love the artwork also – one thing missing – and that would push this game beyond coolnes and into epicness would be large campaign book modeled on necromunda – I long for a game like this for sooo much time … Faction design is even better here – would play – make it happen design team !

I really like the back and forth activation set up to this game. It makes it flow more tactically and less re-actively like some other war-games out there.
The art is stunning…a great deviation away from the typical dank-depressing atmosphere of post-apocalyptic. The use of a lot of whites and bright tones really bring out a thriving (albeit propaganda rich) society. The Forsaken of St. Isaac are really taking a shine on me!
It’s great that CMON is taking this IP and bringing it to greater heights of design.

Liking the look of “Dark Ages”, specially the art work for the game. If i was going to get any of the figures, it would have to be the “Robot`s”. As with them i would be going outside my comfy zone……………………………….

I so love that the crazy phenomenal Dark Age is getting some screentime! Beyond any doubt it is very much deserving that attention. If only for some of the incredible miniatures CMON’s been producing for this range. In fact I was never able to decide which to choose amongst their many sculpts that really appeal to me.
Sadly, where I come from, there’s a goddamn gaping lack of representation of this game. Here’s hope this’ll forward some change.

The different factions have their individual tastes and different identity styles. just watching this clip has me already planning on a outcast tribe.
the background history of this universe has a feel of fallout meets bioshock set in Necromunda with rage.
Good work guys can’t wait to see were this game will go in the future.

I had no interest in this game until this week – now I want all the things! Beautifully evocative artwork for each faction and really gives that feel of a world that is in opposition to life being on it.

That is amazing artwork. Taking the time to create a style and tone with the artwork and the history seems like the right choice. These things should drive the game and the stories that you play out.

The factions are very interesting, I wish there was more emphasis on the world itself. The sand crocodile ambush is one example. In a post apoc game I always find the wildlife to be lacking, which is a shame…to be honest it should be part of certain missions, or a faction of it’s own. Just having humanoids/robots feels like the rest of the world is insignificant.
On the bright side all the factions have an comprehensive and linked background which make the conflict more interesting.
Can’t wait to see the finished table you guys are building.
