For us it was *Thursday* nights. I left home at sixteen (hey, it’s a long story) and had welfare support to see me through two years of sixth form schooling. I used to save up my income support benefit and every two weeks, would pay the entrance fee for me and half a dozen schoolmates to get into the Tivoli nightclub. Rock Nights were always on a Thursday (double physics on a Friday morning was very often a messy affair).

Those were the days! Growl…. stomp…. strobe…. jump….. (for a style of music that sounds so angry, it sure made a lot of people very happy).
