I’m guessing regulations are different to the UK when it comes to cooker installations?
Here, an electric oven has its own dedicated breaker/circuit; the electric lighter thingy is usually on the ring mains – and should be separate to your cooker? Having a dodgy connection for a relatively low-powered sparker to light a gas hob isn’t *that much* of a problem – but a loose connection on something like an oven, that is drawing many (up to tens?) of amps – that could create dangerous arcing and possibly a fire hazard. I’d get it checked out if you’re not confident (don’t ask how I know; it’s definitely absolutely not from experience).
I’ve been feeling pleased with myself, getting a miniature painting to completion (for the August painting comp https://www.beastsofwar.com/forums/topic/paintcomp-august-2025/) and really enjoyed working on a single mini, right through from start to finish. So much so, that I thought I’d try something a bit different this time – “batch painting” my Blood Bowl Orc Team.

I’m finding it really tough to stick to batch painting but my plan is to do all the skin, then all the white/grey cloth, then all the red armour, and finally all the silver/metallics. Already I’m failing to do that, and can’t help but pick a single mini and want to paint it through to finished. But I’m at least trying to stick to a plan this time!
All the green skin is done on the full team (of eleven, not sixteen – I’m not a masochist).
Next job – paint all the grey/white cloth on the whole team (and highlight) before tackling the armour…..
