Yes and no.
Businesses need the goose with the golden eggs. They demand ‘infinite growth’, even if it is mechanically impossible.
Consumers have been taught that if there is no ‘news’ then the product is ‘dead’ and no one will want to play.

Which is odd, because most sports have stopped evolving decades ago. The only thing that’s changing are the people playing.
One has to wonder if tabletop games will ever reach a similar point …
