Asmodee Germany drops some nuggets in an interview

So the German channel DICED interviewed Marco Reinartz (Special Projects and Community Manager) on mostly Star Wars Legion. These are some interesting bits:

• New AMG homepage in May 2022
• New stuff from AMG out on the 04.04.2022
• Pandemic still slows down production, especially for paper/wood
• Transport capacities scarce
• Asmodee Germany wants to follow up more and nag AMG about releases
• Organised Play will be restarted
• OP end of July 2022 Hannover “AMG World Open Qualifier 2022”
• New announcements from Asmodee Germany on 07.04.2022
• AMG has discontinued X-Wing App support, very unlikly to make an army builder app for Legion
• No word on resculpts for old models from Core Box

I was tempted to think that AMG was going to kill the Legion franchise for being unprofitable …

but then Grimwolf showed a picture with units for a possible criminal faction.

I really hope they get their stuff together and re-launch the system as it were, because it lost momentum due to the shitty supply pre-covid.

Since they actually seem to have things in the pipeline… I’m really expecting things to gather speed when (if) they launch a new homepage…

Personally, I have not experienced any delays or shortages, in fact, mail seems to be FASTER than normal….

Technically you didn’t need the app for that. It was just “more convenient” But since they (AMG) just released the X-Wing 2.5 Rules those points cost are all out of the window anyhow. I guess we’ll see some reworked rules in the near future of some sort.
