I went down to the USA on Monday (April 6th) to do our shipping with US Post for the March Madness Sale orders and some more HGB Kickstarter Backer reward packages. Now I have to do another 14 day COVID-19 self-quarantine upon returning to Canada, so I’ll only be going back into the office on April 21st to get orders cast-up and packed. Our next shipping of orders and backer reward packages will be Monday April 27th, after that I’ll have to do another 14 day self-quarantine. Looks like this is going to be the new normal for the next few months. I’ll be getting back on the layout of the new HGB 3rd Edition Rulebook later today.

We hope you’re all doing ok and that everyone is staying safe by practicing social distancing. Make sure to stay 2 meters (6 feet) apart or 1 hockey stick length for Canadians and we’ll get thru this difficult time together.

I hope things are going well for DP9 these days, despite all the COVID-19 restrictions. I never got into the miniatures but used to love the RPG stuff for the setting. Do you have any plans to do anything more with the storyline outside of the Blitz miniatures game?

I never played Tribe 8 but the books and the art were brilliant for that game too. Would love to see that resurected too!

Right now Dream Pod 9’s focus is shipping out our latest Heavy Gear Blitz Kickstarter backer reward packages and finishing up the layout of our new HGB 3rd Edition Rulebook. We are planing to start work this summer on a new Edition of the Heavy Gear Roleplaying game, starting on our DP9 Forum with weekly Feedback Friday posts and polls to find out what players expect and want from a new edition. Then with the help of our online community finding and building a new team to take care of the HG RPG’s writing, artwork, design, and layout. And following that all up with Kickstarter sometime in 2021 to cover those costs and pay for the printing a new edition.

For right now Tribe 8 is on the back burner, but who knows what the future will hold. 🙂

Ooh, that’s great news! Heavy Gear always seemed to be a thoughtful and interesting as well as exciting setting that deserved far wider appreciation than it has received. Hope all goes well with HGB!
