New shield introduced, shield pack, and now conceiving an idea for a female torso….hoping it….pans out.
May 26, 2019 at 7:01 am #1394960May 26, 2019 at 8:30 am #1394979I like the idea of the cloaks and clothes because from a visual perspective it allows you to get a lot of colour into an army, which will contrast with the male fauns, Minotaurs, treemen and whatever else you have. First thing I thought was lots of tartan, and give the fauns a real Celtic feel.
May 28, 2019 at 10:41 am #1395803The Thracian look your going for is good, I am actually fairly happy with the generic default renders (I can give them several different back stories currently) are these extra bits?
May 28, 2019 at 3:56 pm #1395984The cool thing is the thracians have a lot to draw from. I can draw them up in scale/gold, light armor, as celts, and it would be still fitting for the various tribes. So anyhoo, the point of the concept is to show ideas we would like to see at the 20k sprue. Opportunities not seen on the general sprue. Other folks want reoriented weapons.
May 30, 2019 at 4:06 am #1396510So this would be for a command/character/extra bits sprue separate from the general sprue.
Do have any pic of the males in armor/clothes?
May 30, 2019 at 7:31 am #1396527If we hit 20k, this would be the start of a sprue with alternative torsos. Backers wanted skin/feral/tribal tones. Best answer I could come up with would be to use the clothing style, engineer it to be taken off, and allow the players to pick and choose. I had some thoughts of perhaps a muscle cuirass for the males, because there were a lot of light elements already decided on. It would also go well with the arm slots. At the moment we were bouncing ideas, as the females were the trickiest. Males we ned to get back to :).
May 30, 2019 at 11:42 pm #1396867Yeah I hear yea. Female minis tend to be tricky if you are relying on audience participation and feed back, even/particularly with human women: to much one way you end up with bishonen pretty boys that are basically head swaps, too much the other way you end up with porn mini. And armor is also a real sticking point with female minis. My advice is do something you would give your ten to twelve year old daughter/relative that she would play with (cause that usually sells), is easy to add to a sprue and fits the theme you are going for.

Last week, 15k we unlock a 3×4 sprue to make new bodies, heads, and a row of left hand weapons. 🙂

June 5, 2019 at 12:20 am #1400206Nice. Hope we make it to that.
June 5, 2019 at 5:29 am #1400235Good chance we can. Some folks had bills come up, so are holding off at $1. lot of them want armies. About 430 people have reminders set.
June 5, 2019 at 9:56 am #1400301Yeah, I have done that before (though it had to do with textbooks in my case), as it stands I am actually thinking of upping my pledge to $60 level and buying a ton of the laser/assault rifle arms later when the pledge manager is out, particularly if the guns arm attachments fit more towards Hist scale minis.
June 5, 2019 at 7:13 pm #1400530I am planning on bumping up to the army level and having some extra to cover enough for a few regiments of satyrs and a few hordes of Minotaurs
