@woldenspoons yeah, that’s a good point. Could be lighting. So I moved the group around and retook the photo…

Nah, I’ve missed a step on that one mini. I’ll go back and fix it up tonight.
@mage I may have linked this photo guide to you before, but this article I found when I was a “regular” on the CMoN forum helped me immensely.

Don’t forget @lancorz also did a great article on photography, including tips for phone users!
Cheers for the DA compliment ?
Flies for Grand Father Nurgle! Death Guard but different??? Sounds interesting!!
@Robert good to hear some progress made on the shed! Distracted by a book while tidying though, sounds like something I’d do too…
Well, if you get into moderns there’s a bunch of stuff the BoW guys are reviewing lately that’d be the right scale by the sounds of it.
I shall let you know about the liquid decal film. I’m thinking of trialing it to make some decals for the Consecrators Chapter. It’s a fairly complex heraldry…
DA FTW!

February 27, 2019 at 11:15 am #1354712@rayzryr Im thinking of doing them in black, with purple, yellow and meal detailing. Primarily black though.
February 27, 2019 at 1:24 pm #1354761February 27, 2019 at 1:32 pm #1354774February 27, 2019 at 1:42 pm #1354775Made a start on the remainder of my trio of Knight Armiger Warglaives, giving the bases a good going over of Stirland Battlemire, base-coating the coloured plates on the armour that I kept seperate, and then going over the exposed metal with Leadbelcher (ignore the pile-o-shame in the background – there’s like 5 game systems worth of minis on the desk in various states…). I’ve got to pop out so will leave these to dry off so I can drybrush the bases later, then start tidying up the Knights bodies ahead of washes…

Oh, and this month’s Asset Drop Supplies Box arrived today with some interesting items – two trios of paints from MRP and Revell respectively, with tutorials for painting zombie flesh and black armour, then a pair of more esoteric items, a clay-based Light Dirt wash from Ultimate Modelling Products, and a coloured wax from AK Interactive’s True Metal range for Steel. Apparently it can be polished up after application, which is interesting. Still not sure If I’ll use the last two items as I’m only really set up for using acrylics, but useful to have handy….
And had a route in the wardrobe and forgot I had these two boxes in there. Good lord some of these minis are old….

February 27, 2019 at 2:02 pm #1354776Tonight’s work…

Not sure if I’ll do the Sergeants helmet wings in white, black or red…

I can already imagine the sales pitch at the McNurgle fast food joint :
“You want flies with that ?”
