For some reason I get most of my ideas walking to work in the morning… maybe it’s the cold air.

This morning I had an idea about movement trays… which is something I don’t need right now.

Anyway… the idea is to use one of those drill tools for cutting holes to make holes in some MDF sheets I have lying around. Just cut the holes in the board and put another layer of something underneath the board (cardboard, or MDF) to stop the figures falling out.

And as a bonus… you might be able to use the MDF disks to make bases for miniatures.

Obviously, working with MDF can be hazardous, fine particles are bad for the lungs.

This is the drill tool I mean and smallest one (currently on the drill) has an internal diameter large enough to hold a 25mm base.

Note: I have not tried this… it’s just an idea… but if I ever need movement trays I may have a go.

That’ll work. Same principle for forests as well.

Yep, done that, it’s a good idea!

Turns out I’ll need to test the theory soon. I’m going to base the 88mm and drill out holes for the gun crew. I’ll post images when it’s done.
