That motorcycle looks a lot better than practically anything that OCC dared to ‘produce’ when they were on Discovery…

*grr* I am now once again distracted from my original plans as I am likely to spend time googling pirate flags for bikes 😀

My trike is all black with red accents, so a pirate flag would look pretty indeed.

Pledge update:  Here we are then after some white, a tidy up on the horses and a redo of the weapons.  Not too bad.  I’ll go in with the Touareg blue tomorrow once the white is properly dry.  @horati0nosebl0wer I know that the actual colours used are very varied but there is something very jarring about that lack of cohesion in miniature.  I’ve broadened the visible colours out from my usual narrow palette.  I just didn’t like the way the unit looked when I started – more white is definitely helping imo.

No petrol anywhere near my trike.

It’s pure pedal power (and a bit of electric power to get going).

It does run better with the battery at full capacity instead of nearly empty, but that also applies to the human powering the device 😉

I like my pedal bikes, too, @limburger but I gotta say, the times I wanted to go faster on the road, I get that with the HD. Ironically, it’s inspired me to get back to bikepacking with a buddy! So there’s that.

Love the porcelain and Dutch themed conversion bike – like gas or not, but man, that’s a LOT of beautiful work.

 

And yes “loud pipes save lives” 😉

Finally finished this model. I started it over a month ago but lost motivation / blamed the heat for not working on it. Only took about two hours more of painting to finish it.

I prefer comfort over speed … which is why I ride a recumbent bike instead of a regular one.
The seat is soo much more comfortable.
