Speaking of enshittification.. What kind of gods awful concoctions do you consume over there @limburger? That sounds nearly as bad as a Burrito Supreme from Taco Bell here in the US.

I love Indian food (especially a good mint chutney and lamb vindaloo) but that just sounds like a curry flavored shit missle that would blaze through my colon with a distinctive rage to seek and destroy the existence of my guts and toilet bowl.

My bowels quake in fear of that kind of treatment

Do not worry @horati0nosebl0wer a ‘Frikadel’ is just a big, chonky burger patty (more or less). Rather tasty stuff.

Today I re-learned (during my stream) that I really do like building minis. For me it’s the best part of the hobby. That does explain why I have so many build but unpainted minis XD

It was good to see someone enjoying building their minis so thank you for streaming last night @sundancer

Today has been deliveries day here at Zoid Towers.  My copies of the Warriors of Athena books and accompanying miniatures order have arrived from North Star 😀  Then a bargain lot of Redoubt and Foundry Trojan Wars stuff turned up.  Finally there was also an order of two Jon Hodgson backdrop books which were turned around very quickly by Annie at Bad Squiddo who still has the best customer service in the industry.  I’m in for an exciting evening sorting miniatures and then building some monsters for undercoating tomorrow when we are due some decent weather.

No unhealthy food on the menu here sadly.  I have a health check at my GP in a couple of weeks so I’m trying to lose the last bit of Christmas excess.  I don’t need a lecture on the perils of being a fat.  Once it is done I’m looking forward to touring all of the takeaway establishments in the local area 😀

@horati0nosebl0wer the ‘curry’ is not the stuff that burns going-in-and-out that Indian cuisine is known for. 😉
Think of it as tomato ketchup with a few spices to take the edge of the tomato-taste.
(kind of hard to describe ’cause I never ever use ketchup :D)

As much as I like Demolition Man for being probably the last of the good ol’ fashioned action movies.
I despise it for the advertising nonsense they pulled by dubbing either ‘Pizza Hut’ or ‘Taco Bell’ depending on the region where the movie was broadcast.

@limburger Your imaginary Dutch food seems like a fascinating exercise in creative writing 😆  (Oliebollen is a Christmas treat my mom made a few times when I was growing up so I know the food is real)

Now, this A&W thing… @grantinvanman I’ll say the name is a chain also here in the US and has deep roots in East food history.

I’ll just say the franchise wars have been waged online for a while. Smug Wendy and Rule34 of all the mascots have been around. Leave the Internet alone and take my word for it, it was savage.

Oliebollen are great, especially the ones with raisins in them. My mom used to make them for new years’ eve.
But the real treat are what we called ‘nonnevotten’ (literal translation: nuns’ bums … ), but they do require a level in cooking that is insane.
