this year I will next year I will 🤣

1. Finish off the minis for all factions.
2. Rewrite the rulebook for Spores.
3. Illustrate the rulebook
4. Create a gameboard for demos
5. Post a series of battle reports
6. Go to as many cons as I can.

I also want to experiment with making a modular set of goblins. I will also experiment with making my models overhang free so that they can be cast either for injection moulded or spun cast.

@Wonkygoblin you do realise it’s still 2025 and that is an awfully long list for the few days we still got 😉

I doubt I will get any hobby done today, but I shall at least try to think about getting something done.

Disco Elysium has been very distracting.
It is a truly bizarre rpg with an opening that reminds me of the Hitchikers’ Guide to the Galaxy rpg as you start in complete darkness. Also playing a drunk police detective is a challenge 😀

(also : do not turn on the light after waking up in that game … it really hurts. )

@limburger The first time you look at the crime scene dumpster climb in. You’ll earn the award Hobo Cop. I agree that game is trippy as hell.  First time I started playing it I was hooked by the opening. Not having a PC but hearing you’re playing moves me to want sit and play. The current prices for computers and parts are insane so I doubt I’ll play again anytime soon unless on somebody else’s rig.

*arrgh* I spend time figuring out a design for one of the walls in my hobby room. Gemini suggested XPS foam for panels, but then it mentioned it was flammable. I really thought I had a design I wanted to do, but that remark and its inability to move forward wasted sooo much time.

The one moment I get a cool design and the next it is ruined because the bloody thing refuses to cooperate.

I thought it was for pop corn … now excuse me while I go rage against the machine.

I mean really *aarrrggh*
I was (attempting to) brainstorm ideas for the layout of one of the walls in my hobby room.
I really want that space ship / command center look & feel to it. I had done some brainstorming for the generic layout and the built-in closet (with equal amounts of rage and screaming I might add). I thought it would be better this time. (spoiler : no it was not)

This was were I was at last night before it all went to heck in hand basket after asking it for one tiny change.

and on top of that … I just checked the real life measurements and I think it may not even fit at all.

‘greeblies’ … not sure if I spelled that correctly, but it is the word used for all the weird useless crap that makes thing look cool in movies.

I want to know if there is a program out there that would allow me to draw these kinds of designs myself, which is kind of the reason why I’ve been using Claude.AI and Google’s Gemini. While I do like how much you can get done in Gemini (as opposed to Claude.AI with its frequent free use limits), both are equal amounts of rage inducing when it comes to them forgetting stuff in the middle of a brainstorming session.

Anyways … so technically I’ve been doing some hobby. It hasn’t been as productive in the real world as I would have wanted it to be.
