Completed a large batch of Skaven for Age of Magic, my first real trial with Contrast paints. I liked it, it definitely speeded things up for me. Looking forward to experimenting more with them.

Woot! Done with my Dreadnought Redemptor and off it will go for my brother’s bday. I could’ve masked it better looking back but it was a general test of metallics.

Here’s the quick list of paints used for the metal.

    1. Ueno Black from Mr. Color
    2. MIG Ammo Bluish Titanium
    3. MIG Ammo Warhead Blue
    4. VMC Copper
    5. Army Painter Silver

Hello again. I have recently restarted work on my Imperial Assault stuff.  First, I decided to blitz through some of the more mundane stuff using Contrast Paints, I am really pleased with the effort/quality balance afforded by contrast paint. The results are more than good enough to grace a game table and can be achieved very quickly. I basically painted all of these in around a day and a half.

And as a reward to myself for painting up the end of Jabba’s Realm, I allowed myself to paint the Rancor, which I had been putting off/saving (delete as appropriate) for several years.
