Just finished this model in anticipation of the new releases in November really looking forward to the new models. I think they are looking fantastic.September 16, 2019 at 11:55 pm #1436874September 17, 2019 at 12:05 am #1436875I’ve been a bit slow on the painting front recently but I have managed to get a couple done.
First up is Shredder Steve the shrewzerker from Oathsworn.

Next up is Frank Spencer the drunken weasel

And tonight I’ve been back to my peninsular war British with this rather terrified-looking flank company officer from front rank
September 17, 2019 at 2:14 am #1436887Alright, time to try this out again, haven’t do so since the move from BoW 1.0!
I’ve started this archer a few weeks ago with some GW Contrasts: Snakebite Leather and Gore-Grunta Fur and both gave me great results! I painted the cloak to show how the Gore-Grunta Fur turned out and it turned out better with this guy than on my fur cloak on a D&D miniature, i think it’s due to the fact that the barbarian’s cloak is simpler in design…
Here are the first two WIP pics for this guy

I’ve also finally started my ongoing Frostgrave project, here’s a link

I’ll post another update during the week

Painted up a custom chapter marine for a friend to test out the colour scheme.
I really liked it, what do you think?Added it to my Space Marine Chapters project (here), in the hope the project might get a golden button 😉
September 17, 2019 at 8:33 pm #1437284@irishsteve As always you have wonderful color blends and an amazing eye for detail. Very nice work.
@brushstroke not only are the colors lovely but your edging is spot on.
With Skull and Crown launching their second Triumph of Death Kickstart I feel free to share the new unit of crossbows I finished. I snuck these prototypes out of his studio a couple months ago. Along with cavalry, characters, and pike these guys are one of the newly released units. If stretch goals go well there will be a cannon and crew as well.

September 17, 2019 at 11:36 pm #1437325I’ve had the noise marine sitting in a drawer for a few months and I’ve been avoiding doing it, to be honest.
Just because I don’t wanna mess him up.
Started on the guitar, and of course it’s a combo of two of my main 6 stringers – seafoam green with white mother of pearl pick guard and cherry sunburst.
This is gonna be fun after all…

Firefly
Comet

Cromwell
The Battlefront Colours of War Book helped me with painting these guys.
Primed in Death Guard Green, black wash, heavy dry brush of Vallejo Russian Uniform Green, light dry brush of Vallejo Iraqi Sand and Wyldwood Contrast Paint for the tracks and wheels.September 18, 2019 at 6:37 pm #1437660Managed to add to my Frostgrave archer and took some pics for my 2nd round of WiP! I used another Contrast paint for the beard! I used Basilicanum Grey and i’m happy how it came out.
I’m very close to finish this one and i’ll try not to get distrated by another mini and finish it this week 😉

September 19, 2019 at 12:46 am #1437718Was able to get these not ring wraiths finished.

And also some skeletons

Have had these trees in storage forever as well as some of these gravestones. Realized I should just combine them so I can store terrain rather than potential. I’m slow but I do arrive eventually. So here is the first step in gluing them together. Will probably need underbrush when all is said and done.
September 19, 2019 at 7:32 pm #1437920September 20, 2019 at 4:41 am #1437992Managed not to get distracted (not too much 😉 ) and finished this one! Did not add any Contrast paints after the beard and i like how the mini turned out. He’s the 13th Warrior (pun intended!) done for my warband and with the Contrast paints i used, it will hasten the work!
Snakebite Leather for the main leather, Gore-Grunta for the furs and Basilicanum Grey for the beard (i will try other Contrast for beards/hair on others).
