Second model of 2023 completed – Batman from Knight Models’ Batman Miniature Game. The model was a pain in the arse to build and clean up, but the painting was fun. I used a mix of Army Painter Warpaints and Army Painter Speedpaints.

With a week of being confined to the house with ill health (again) I was Getting bored and the only remedy for that is terrain. So with my Enlightened Navy in the base coat phase my mat and home built islands needed some additions for narrative games and a possible campaign in the near future.

I got the 3d printer churning out a few files and the process of making a mess began, my front room was a complete tip but lots of fun was had taking my mind off of feeling yucky.

I didn’t get any painting done but I did finish putting together some stuff from ‘Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings’. No matter how good this game looks to play, or how fantastic the lore and aesthetic of the game may be, the assembly of these miniatures have put me off of the game completely. I feel like by the end I was assembling them purely out of spite. That is not a fun, or healthy, way to hobby.

The Stormbringer magazine gave me a chance to pick up these new goblin / swamp orc GW minis. I had been considering getting an AoS starter box, but never pulled the trigger. Will hopefully get the second edition of the mag. as that has more of the goblin basic troopers
