Trying to complete a Frostgrave warband project I started quite a while ago. A Scibor mini, a sprue of Oathmark Dwarves and the Frostgrave / NorthStar metal Enchanter miniature and apprentice. A bit of green stuff work for a sack and a teabag string rope looks quite effective, but still early stages.
The enchanter and apprentice aren’t started yet and feel these will be a challenge. Having seen so many excellent paint jobs already putting myself under pressure to make them look good.
November 2, 2018 at 11:15 am #1296318Working on a conversion of a 40k Ork buggy for 7TV Apocalypse. ‘Build and Paint’ kit modified with resin and metal bits from the Crooked Dice post apocalypse range.
Undercoated white – desert yellow basecoat – both from spray cans
More details in my project log

November 2, 2018 at 11:17 am #1296346Sorry – not sure why my post has gone up 3 times!
November 2, 2018 at 3:46 pm #1296421- It’s been a while since posting here but here’s my latest completion.
A Spire Thresher Abomination for Conquest. She’s visiting Wales next week for a short club tour of demos 🙂
I’m loving the GSW colorshift paints.
Still got a lot of basic infantry to finish then I’ll put a bit more effort into the bases once I’m done painting 😉

and I’ve hit the ground running again with my Spire Brute Drones.
Here the bonemould is at stage two of blending. Two more stages and ink shading to match their friend in the back

Edit# finished one of them the next day 🙂

now where did I put that project log? hmmmm
November 2, 2018 at 6:31 pm #1296525Moros from the Fateslayer kickstarter. Full project here: https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/1293604/#snav
I’m looking for advice on how to finish the model. Please see my latest project post.
November 2, 2018 at 7:51 pm #1296551Am not happy with how to get the blue right – as having such difficulty in the highlighting aspect – like making it have edge highlighting – then having a lighter blue to show light hitting the model – what are your thoughts? or any tips on how to paint ultramarine armour

November 3, 2018 at 12:58 pm #1296847So, I think the fur on these Wolves is pretty much done. I was debating a light drybrush of the original base colour but not sure. Probably best to go straight to doing the mouths, teeth & claws.

And next I want to try out these colour shift paints from Turbo Dork that came in this months Aasset Drop box. Plan is to use them for the xeno-tech & powerweapons of my Deathwatch. Looking forward to seeing how they come out…
November 3, 2018 at 2:19 pm #1296913Here’s some updates for my project These are the Kashan Legion troopers

November 3, 2018 at 2:21 pm #1296916November 3, 2018 at 6:00 pm #1296970So these are how my play around with those colourshift paints ended up:

Overall I’m quite happy with the results, given they advise using an airbrush and these were done by hand. It’ll be interesting to see how they work on things like powermauls and thunder hammers…
November 3, 2018 at 7:38 pm #1297011A bit more work this afternoon… coming out nicely I think.

November 3, 2018 at 9:21 pm #1297039November 3, 2018 at 10:19 pm #1297073Carl “Crusher” Creel aka Absorbing Man is all finished. This project was a nice change up from the normal 28-32mm stuff that most of us are use to. Definitely would love to do another one.

November 4, 2018 at 8:21 am #1297187Been some time since I posted here. I’ve been busy painting up a 15mm Fallschirmjager Company for the upcoming 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Monte Cassino. It’s taken a while to get all 201 models painted and based but I got there. I have project covering all of the models that I’m getting ready for the Battle here.
Here’s the whole company on parade:

A couple of the heavy MG teams

Some of the infantry teams
