It wouldn't be Gen Con without a trip to the Battle Foam stand, where Romeo can give us the lowdown on his latest releases.

I am really puzzled by the Black Label stuff. I saw the video about a week or two back where he put a naked flame on a bit of paper, ran over the corner of it really fast as the box was under the kerb line which would mean you could probably lie there yourself and get run over and walk away with a dirty t-shirt. Then at the end he threw the case. All in all a good display of how to over engineer a product and exaggerate it’s performance. Oh I forgot to add the bucket of water, this would be handy if you swim to your club or plan to throw it out to a drowning little girl trying to save her little doggy she has only had a week.
Additionally, you may want to design a case with a light built into the front. This way, if a street light in your neighbourhood goes out and/or when there is not a full moon and/or the homes don’t have their curtains open whilst watching tv with the light on and/or the above home does not have an intruder light and/or there is no vehicle driving past and/or there is no cub scout helping you on your way across the road. You will indeed feel safe knowing you are carrying a 100 million candle power torch in your case hand, the battery on your back and pulling the generator with the other (just in case the torch doesn’t last the full specified HARDCORE 5 mins running time). However, on the flip side, I could see people really stacking up on Nectar points! Thereby feeding a family of 4 for FREE!!!
I will not lay claim to patented idea so please fill your boot and start the design straight away, it’s yours for free. All I ask is that you name it after me.
Lots of hugs and kisses
Broadside.
OMG broadside that was intense. And you know what I agree. Sure its cool having stuff USMC use but guys come on. Only Americans could think and make use of all this stuff. Its just an overkil. I just want a plastic THING to store my plastic THINGS and move them once every two months in case I fight a battle. I would buy it though if I had the money.
Maybe these only appeal to those of us who actually get out of the basement. Some of us travel with our toys and prefer them not to get broken or smashed by baggage handlers, protected from water in case the basement floods or some dork spills their Big Gulp Slurpee, protected when they go to and from the trunk of the car every week (or twice a week) to play with them, protected from getting smashed, jostled, knocked over and accidentally kicked while carrying them through convention centers or while using public transportation. Since many cases out there today have fabric outer shells, they wouldn’t stand up to the fire test. As someone with a cigarette burn in his case right now, I like fire resistant.
If you can toss yours into a plastic tub from WalMart and be done with it, then great on you. Don’t buy it. But stop being a troll by over-exaggerating your underwhelming reaction to the demos of how sturdy the cases are. What would have made you happy? That he gathered a gang of tattooed gorillas with crowbars and flamethrowers to smash the hell out of it before they ran over it with a train?
Then you’d whine even more about how over-the-top the whole idea is. That was far more abuse than most people would actually put their cases through. Do that any of that with your current case, I’m sure it’ll only leave it a little dirty. I look forward to your video. Please be sure to lay down against the curb for the truck part. I want to see how you only end up a little dirty.
Some companies make athletic shoes. I know you can’t imagine getting off the couch, but that doesn’t make them over the top, over-engineered, or no one will need them short of being in the Olympics.
Sorry buddy I had to give you a -1 as I don’t have a basement. If you would like to build me one though Ill give you +1 as a token of no hard feelings. As for trolling, ummm no. That my dear boy was humorous OTT banter, but my reasoning stands.
As for suggesting I am a sloth, I must have been a fit one after 15yrs in British forces where I was a unit PTI who used to do an additional 40 miles a week runs around the local area and gym in the evenings and have a few campaign medals for my efforts. So I could even suggest you stop playing at war and do some proper time. I am however in poor health now and unable to run. But kudos to you for noticing and proving you are the bigger man by not over reacting.
My simple GW case has been through a lot of bad weather and has laughed it all off and no I am no GW fan boy, but that’s another story. hehe
@wolfguard: I respect your response, was a bit OTT, but I think you realised what I was trying to say. If you get one, could you strap an engine on it and see if it will cross the channel!!! 😀
was the camera on a tripod? because you couldn’t see anything he was showing us. The flash ups were ok but it was frustrating not seeing what he was showing.
unless I plan on taking my chaos when I go on an extreme sports holiday this is well OTT!
is it just me that there test video for the black label reminds of GW’s test on the monster case?? although I’ll be honest and say I’m looking forward to these cases because I’m currently resorting to shoe boxes to transport my privateer press gear because I’m unbelievably clumsy with cases and was after a hard shell so ill prob be picking one up.
