Infinity Beyond Week continues with Carlos of Corvus Belli joining us to discuss the design choices behind the Beyond Icestorm and Beyond Red Veil expansions for Infinity.
We take a look at concept art for each of the new troops coming to the Haqqislam, Nomad, Panoceania and Yu Jing forces, plus we've got the pre-order bonus miniatures and Gen Con exclusives to marvel at as well.

I already am hooked on the models and options for the PanO and Nomad army’s to get Operation: Icestorm and the Beyond Icestorm sets.
And I will need Beyond Red Veil as well.

I assume the units will be used in some battlereports during this week. Can’t wait for more stuff to give me my Infinity fix.

That Kriza Borac looks like a beast of a unit. If Szalamandra is going to follow the same design patterns (as to be expected) then I am a hell of a lucky Nomad player XD XD XD
Every time they do these summer releases I find myself wanting to start another army…
I just love the design approach Corvus Belli takes when they develop new models, as well as the consistency between each unit in the factions and sectorials
Szalamandra re-sculpt is the best news in this video, great designs as always.
It’s good to know that many of those miniatures are focused for future factions, I would have focus on R.E.M. Troops on both beyond boxes, many of them need new designs.
Awesome mini’s, cannot wait to get a hold of them.

Really looking forward to the new boxes. Was hoping that infinity being a smaller army game would give me more hope on catching up on my painting backlog. But they keep releasing to many shinies.
As a newish player I find things like infinity week great as they inform me of bits of background which I have not yet discovered like the Vatican related part of the PO faction.
Infinity Week is better than Shark Week.
The CSU model has something of a Shadowrun vibe about it that I’m really diggin’.

Adding the cloth textures to the sculpts is a great improvement. It makes many models look a little more lively.
I can imagine it doesn’t take much to tempt those concept artists.
CB goes from strength to strength with its miniature designs. Love looking at the dossier files.
Gotta say that I’m certainly loving the redesigns. Keep up the great work CB. Now to get my airbrush prepped and ready for beyond Operation Icestorm.

Good idea with the boxes. Great way to expand the forces. Troops section could have been better.
But still a good way forward.
I do love the concept art they show off.
Not a huge fan of limited edition minis where it’s a fairly core troop, but it must be working for them.

Oh my god, those concept artwork is simply amazing. I wish that I could do something like that, but I will leave it in much more talented hands than mine. My favourite has to be the Daofei closely followed by the Kriza Boracs.

I’m not convinced by the USAriadna spec op, something just doesn’t seem quite right. Maybe too SAS or Spetnaz and not enough USA.

I’ll be getting all of this, it looks great. As a fan of WYSIWYG I would have preferred to see a slung weapon on the Fiday and Bolt though, so I may need to add them on mine.

After getting the Icestorm starter set, these are pretty must a requirement for me. Looks awesome!
Very good desings and miniatures, the only that did’t convince me a lot is the Dao Fei because I think it looks better with the pigtail he used to carry. But i think all the miniatures are very good something that corvus belly has accustomed us to.

Designing the models in such a detail is amazing. I didn’t get into Infinity yet, but i’m very interested to do so.
These are just amazing. I am loving all the factions. Cannot decide which way to go. May just have to get them all. There goes the wallet.

She is wearing high tech armour, she needs to be physically fit, not built like a brick S#!t house!
So yeah, it’s all good 😛 and she’s far too cool for me to have a problem with it!

With Angels books, those models are very rewarding to paint. Its a shame i don’t know anyone who plays so mine just gather dust.
The designs on these are beautiful. I cannot think of another metal miniature that remotely compares to the work they do.

I’m really digging on all the Nomads designs. I’m starting to work Hellcats into my games and trying to figure out how to keep them alive for more than 5 seconds is my first challenge.
I’m definitely getting the Beyond Icestorm box, because its so much better to have non-duplicated figures on the table. Yay 🙂

As always, lovely designs. It’s a shame however that my dear Haqqislamites didn’t get any new redesign, despite the absolutely stunning models, they feel like they’re a bit missing in “newness” factor.

These look so awesome! The new textures, besides adding detail and interest, the will give painters another area to added minute glazes to shade and highlight.
I always wanted a Tarik Mansuri model when I first looked at Haqqislam as a faction. Having him in this box with the other cool additions is seriously leaning me towards getting this set.
Waiting on a delivery of combined army miniatures too, bought during the pre-Strikezone Wotan sales. I still want to collect more even though I struggle to get a game. Just too good to resist.

Great stuff. They should have done more play through scenarios like they did for the first sets. So you can get used to the extra new rules these miniatures have.
I have been threatening to get into Infinity and all of these stats are interesting but quite daunting at the same time. I really like these new expansion packs and I think it is great way to get someone like me involved to add these to a starter set. Now it all just looks so good so which combination of the sets to go for…..icestorm or red veil….

It is always great to see how they go from designs to an actual model. I really like the look of the nomad faction.
I really like the sleek power armor on some of these minis. It’s a lot rarer than the bulky versions so many companies make. Probably a lot harder to paint though.
Love the new texture details! And the bonus minis are just as beautiful as the boxed sets…
