Studio Giraldez Show off their Newest Infinity Projects
May 29, 2012 by brennon
Some superb work once again from the folks at Studio Giraldez with their new work on some Infinity releases. Check them out below...
Dozer...
Daktari...
Maligno Hacker...
The Devas...
Some utterly astounding work once again on these Anime inspired models. It's currently reminding me about how I haven't finished by Ariadna Starter Set yet!
I bet there are some firm favourites in the painted selection above.
Which model takes your fancy?

Those look absolutly gorgeus. Those painters did good job with those beatifully sculpted models.
Female Deva: Nose availible separately in blister?
Angel is a bloody genius – the paint job is just so fine you can enlarge the pics as much as you like and you won’t find a flaw.
It’s another awesome set of models that the paint’s been applied to as well – the Dozer may not be dynamic but he doesn’t need to be and is purposeful in his clothing and equipment. The Malignos is great, really hi-tech in feel with his sleek gear and bodysuit. The proportions also look really alien – you can’t fit human organs in that torso. The Devas really shine in their face sculpting, it’s beautiful. They remind me of the Acontecimento figs that came from Lost as they’re similarly realistic. Do they come from a TV series as well I wonder…
Another round of win from Corvus Belli. Looking forward to next month’s stuff.
Love the new Dozer model. Hate the studio. I mean, honestly, how can I ever be happy with my painted Infinity minis when they are 1000 times less awesome than the pics above! 😀
1) Angel Giraldez is awesome. It’s not just that he paints as well as he does, it’s that he produces such a high volume of this kind of work. I couldn’t paint one mini to half this quality in the time it takes him to paint half a dozen.
2) That Daktari model is the first daktari model I would actually want to field (the other two sculpts left much to be desired).
3) The Dozer sculpt looks awesome because of all the surface detail and the way it was painted. I predict a lot of Infinity gamers who will be less thrilled putting him on the table with their own paint jobs on him. It’s why I put my Infinity forces on hold while I try to improve my painting skills on other, less frustrating models. So many of the minis look amazing with Angel’s paint job and really terrible with a less skillful paint job. Most of my minis from other games look pretty good, but my painted Infinity minis all look terrible. You really have to be better-than-average at painting to get satisfactory results with these sculpts. I’m just not there (yet). It’s not just that I’m comparing myself to Angel either. My MERCS minis look satisfactory IMHO, even if they’re nowhere near as good as the studio models (which were also painted by Giraldez). It’s something about the Infinity sculpts that just makes them hard to get good results on.
I feel exactly the same way.. it’s the incredible level of detail they cram onto minis that aren’t heroic scale. Techniques that are daunting enough (for an average painter such as myself) on your basic space marine suddenly become a nightmarish proposition when you try to apply them to something from Corvus Belli. I really don’t know how Angel does it.
Damn you, Angel. Damn yoooooou!
Beautiful work
Gratz to all involved.
Amazing models as always and Angels painting skills are above and beyond mortal.
What I really like is CBs humour, the Dactari has a kitten doll/ charm in her bag.
Got to give it to them, they know what their doing.
Utterly insanely good models, as usual!
It’s the little things that I love about their sculpts. Like the Care Bear on the Daktari. You have to look but it’s there. Things like that push the character of the pieces far beyond other companies.
