Jodain’s random Sci-Fi stuff

During the last few months I’ve been learning (playing) how to use a new 3D Resin printer at work, I worked my way up from the test piece a couple of barrels and finally I decided to push the limits to see what a full model would turn out like.  The build volume isn’t great so the model came out in 6 parts and I finished putting it together yesterday.  There is a 1.6mm brass rod running front to back and a 4mm skewer running sideways between the motors.  The model itself was printed hollow with about 2mm walls, hence the big joining rods and not small pins.  My next task is to prime it.

The model is from thingiverse and is of a Vyper Heavy Fighter which I intend proxying into my Dark Angels force as a Nephilim.

I did a bit of quick painting at the beginning of this week and painted my first squad of Rebels for Star Wars Legion.  I tried using sorastros painting guide for the camo, but I think I put too much water on and it diluted the colour too far so I gave up in my rush.  I’ll give it another go with the next squad.

When the Triumvirate of the Primarch release I got rather excited about a 40K release, something that hasn’t happened in a long time.  The reason was actually a model of Cypher, I’ve always liked the Dark Angels and there differences to the other chapters.  Anyway I’ve recently managed to finish painting Voldus to go with Gulliman – ironic really the figure that got me excited is the last one to be painted!  Anyway here is Voldus.

Well I called this Random Sci-Fi and I’m going to start with a Post-Apoc vehicle.  I picked this up at Salute from Crooked Dice, the intention was to get it ready for the Broadside Show in Sittingbourne (which is tomorrow) to go on the club’s Reign of Fire table.  So here it is.
