About the Project
Due to a life getting in the way i never have time to enter any of the Terrain Challenges or even get involver in the forums as much as i like, and still don't have the time. so i thought for my Terrain Challenge why not let it build itself!! about two years ago i backed a Kickstarter by Z1Design whom had designed a modular modern day, 3D printable Buildings. I've only just got my 3D printer going and why not whits I'm at work have it build my Terrain Challenge for me HA HA HA. i hope to keep you all updater on my progress, troubles and successes as my work horse of a 3D printer churns through the filament and i can show what can be made. keeping it on topic. i will be making a tourist of American city style apartments t use in my games off Walking Dead, DC Universe and Fallout. the major thing i will need to contend with is time, for me to have time to keep up with the project and the time it takes to print everything to build this project. hope you all keep with me on my first ever Project, Terrain Challenge and first major forum posts.

Final Week and all the Painting still to do...
Only a week left on the terrain Challenge and I’m determined to get my project done in time.
starting to add paint to all the parts this is a long conveyer of parts to paint and in stages.
First Up is washing with a soft tone wash all the brick work.
More Painted Scatter
I’m now looking good for nearly every room in all three apartments. just need to do them and we are golden….
Under Coat Filially Done..
Singly Undercoated everything i need to start the long job of painting.
Adding more base colours to the parts.
Still waiting for more skeleton bone spray to drive for the brick work primer colour, in the mean time I’ve been trimming anything that is ant skeleton bone.
this includes the fire escapes and ladders, the doors and filler priming any other parts that need pre priming.
more interiors and a Billboard
More bits to help add detail to the buildings.
Ive Printed some cabinets for the kitchens in the apartments swell as a billboard to go on one of the roofs.
still need to develop the artwork to go on the billboard swell as pre priming the cabinets before painting.
Tilling the walls..
as I’m filling the insides of the buildings i felt some of the rooms needed that added extra on the walls.
i decide to tile two of the rooms as bathrooms.
i contemplated how to do this and through tilling by hand would take to long with what time i have left.
then i remembered i had some tiled plastic sheets from green stuff world that i had left over from another project.
i ably the strips to the walls with super glue and am waiting to for prime and prime them.
Painting some Scatter.
Today i painted some scatter for some of the rooms inside the Apartments and also sweet accessories for the ally.
all basic primmer, bace colour, wash ad high light.
also some dabbing with sponges on the bin and airbrush streaking on the mattresses.
Paint test on the Bricks.
Whits i wait for the primers all to arrive, i have done a test wall for the way to paint up the bricks.
Step 1 is the pre primer (filler Primer) and skeleton bone army painter primer spray that i have already talked about.
Step 2 using a soft tone wash to give a shadow between the bricks.
Step 3 a dry brush of white to help with the brick colour and was hoping to give the gapes bit of a highlight.
Step 4 a mix of lava orange and pure red to make the bace cote for the bricks applied with as sponge to save time and reduce issues.
Step 5 using matt black and a sponge dated a very very small about to give bit of texture
Step 6 a pure red highlife to finish, weathering will come later…
