About the Project
After a flood of kickstarter miniature games arrived I realized just how many starter sets for different game systems I have unpainted. In many cases I've been playing with them for years but the time has come to add some love and colour to these models that I've bought.

Blackstone Fortress - Project almost complete!
So as Warhammer Quest Blackstone Fortress began to finish up, I was one of the lucky ones who got 'No Respite', which despite having only minis in it that can be found elsewhere, contained rules that were an awesome addition to the game. Here's the 3 Plague Marines that I matched in with my other Pre-Heresy coloured Death Guard for 40KBlackstone Fortress - Project complete!
Finally I grabbed the final expansion to Blackstone Fortress with a creature from yesteryear – the Zoat. I’ll be interested to see if the Zoat, like the Squat in Necromunda is a foot in the door for the return of these races into the 40K universe. Time will tell, but for now, that’s the entirityof Warhammer Quest, Blackstone Fortress, including all the expansions painted.
2020 - Done!
2020 was a mixed bag for me. I was able to work all year but still managed to get just over 500 miniatures painted. Whilst 2020 was great for my painting, my gaming was, like everyone else’s, severely reduced.
I completely painted Blackstone Fortress, War Cry, War Cry Catacombs, Warhammer 40,000 Dark Millenium, 14 gangs for Warhammer Underworlds, a bunch of D&D miniatures, a small Averland Empire army, several Mordheim gangs, a heap of Anglo-Danes for Saga/Hail Caesar and a heap of scenery for 40K and AoS/Warcry.
As we start 2021 I have even more scenery and several gangs on the verge of completion, however I’m hoping that this year is a year of gaming more than hobby.
I’m going to start a new project blog for 2021 as soon as I finish off the 20+ paint jobs on the verge of completion sitting on my hobby desk.
Thanks for all the support!
Jason
