I have been working on more scatter, these are TTCombat’s drinks machines and Back Alley Accessories stuck down to bits of balsa wood.

Apparently I have been forgetting to update this project with recent progress, as I have been working on terrain and finishing off the 2 player starter set.  I’ll have to get some pics done of the minis, but for now here are some scrap walls and junk piles, made by Crooked Dice.

I have some more scatter and a ruined mdf building from TTCombat to get done soon-ish, but progress has been made!

You can’t just have Mutants out there in the Wasteland, so next I set to work on the Lone Survivor (A.K.A. Nora) and the ever faithful Dogmeat.  Again I forgot to take WIP shots so we go straight to the finish.

As I didn’t take many WIP shots here is the first wave of Super Mutants unleashed upon the Wasteland!  I decided to dress my mutants in ragged Vault Suits, clearly a hapless Vault fell prey to the Super Mutants.  Perhaps these are the survivors dragged bag to the FEV vats for mutation, or the mutants simply decided to make use of those nice vault suits!

I decided to start things off by painting my Super Mutants and Mutant Hounds from the 2 player starter.  So here is a little walk through of the process used on their skin.

Here we have a cute puppy in his Army Painter Greenskin base coat. Here we have a cute puppy in his Army Painter Greenskin base coat.
The hound on the right shows how I first 'shaded down' using first a mix of Vallejo Hawk Turquoise with AP Ultramarine Blue, then in the deepest recesses pure Ultramarine Blue. At this point it looked like a mess! On the left I have gone ahead and started to highlight mixing Vallejo Dead Flesh with the base coat AP Greenskin. The hound on the right shows how I first 'shaded down' using first a mix of Vallejo Hawk Turquoise with AP Ultramarine Blue, then in the deepest recesses pure Ultramarine Blue. Again the left hand Hound shows the next step of further highlighting this time using first AP Demonic yellow then Vallejo Ice Yellow. I then blended the layers with heavily watered down AP Greenskin.Again the left hand Hound shows the next step of further highlighting this time using first AP Demonic yellow then Vallejo Ice Yellow.
