About the Project

I collected the scenario packs for walking dead all out war but felt I'd neglected the game. I recently set about doing some themed terrain for the scenarios which includes putting together the kits available from Mantic.

I should have put this image up first to show what the 3D scenery is supposed to represent. Today I’m going to work on the chain link fences and some signs to help bring it to life. I was thinking the set will also be useful for games of Fallout and spec op type games.

Painted Up

I had a busy day painting this up. I put the TV show on for a bit of inspiration and spotted that the corridors have that split colour scheme you get in institutions. I used a darker shade for this apart from the Mess hall where I went for a green shade. The floor tiles were a pain here. I also looked to the show for door colours. The reddish brown is a nice contrast to the concrete walls. The watch tower seems to be a lighter shade so it stands separate to the main building.

The Prison kit is designed to rill the role of the floor plan sheet you get in the behind bars scenario kit and is designed by Sarissa. It wasn’t difficult to put together but has a few fiddly bits. The cell doors slide open so you have to be careful not to glue it shut. The worse part was the railing to the watch tower that takes a lot of lining up.
