About the Project

Creating a sector of space for my Star Wars RPG Group, I didn't want it to be within the known planets of the Star Wars canon. This allows me to have some freedom with the sector in creating a living environment for my players.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Teardrop (Complete)

Teardrop is a tepid tropical world where great continents of fungal growth rise out of the seas. With no axial tilt, the planet lacks seasons, subjecting the warm equatorial regions to constant rain, creating perfect growing conditions for all manner of fungoid life. Layer upon layer of detritus towers up towards the clouds, displaying a vast number of different species from giant mushroom platforms where starships can safely land to microscopic pathogens that can kill with one breath.

The air is dangerous; it is thick with spores that can easily overwhelm when subjected to prolonged exposure, and appropriate protective gear is essential when outside the domed cities. Within these domes industrial centres extract all manner of biotechnological and pharmaceutical products harvested from the jungles of fungi; huge mining platforms slowly crawl across the landscape leaving great scars in their wake. These tracks do not last long: they are swallowed up with new growths within weeks.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Palauga (Complete)

Palauga is an ocean world, with a central core of solid-state water and thus lacking in the magnetosphere necessary to protect its inhabitants from the mutational effects of solar radiation. Life thrives here despite the hardship, or possibly because of it: the radiation causes constant mutation and accelerated evolution, and most established species have developed radiation-resistant chitin. It is home to the Palanga, a species of sentient crustaceans that come in a wide variety of forms, all heavily armoured and armed with vicious claws.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Orthal (Complete)

Orthal is located between Siccidde and Grieka on one of the major hyperspace routes, Orthal is a luscious blue jewel of a planet. The planet’s unique gravitational properties create massive natural stone pillars with an integrate cave systems that jut high above the clouds. Indigenous animal species, such as the Creeper, weave through Orthal’s elaborate caves and plains searching for refuge. Although the gravity is poor, its plateaus are rich with unrevealed resources renowned across the sector of space. Over the course of decades, Orthal’s leaders have carefully established an enormously profitable enterprise through mineral exports. Orthal has stubbornly retained its independence, attracting corporate leaders, rich tourists, and banking enterprises with no allegiances to the world.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Damphi (Complete)

Damphi is a none descript world however it has become home for the newly resurrected and dangerous sport of Huttball. The once-popular sport during the Old Republic period was played on Nar Shaddaa pitted two teams against one another in a no-holds-barred attempt to gain possession of the ball and bring it into the opposing team’s camp. Violence and cheating were encouraged with the sport along with the everyone betting on the outcome of the match, to who will be the first player to fall. The resurrected version keeps all the excitement however the teams are now sponsored and holo’s of the matches are stream live across the sector. Massive Huttball areas are being erected across Damphi with the most elaborate being sponsored by Rorogg the Hutt.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Gyre (Complete)

Grye is a barbaric world that orbits the third brightest star in the Sector. Beneath its brilliant glare, the once shining beacon of civilization collapsed in a civil war that left the planet devastated, where warlords continue to shed blood over petty border disputes, and loyalties and alliances are in constant flux. They fund their campaigns by selling off the remnants of the glass cathedrals that once made Gyre famed throughout the galaxy; a single shard of the luminous light-bending substance is worth a considerable fortune if the right buyer can be found.

During the Grand Republic to try and end the conflict banned the sale of the Gyre-glass however, it drove that commodity to the black market; few let the knowledge that each shard is paid for with blood cloud their conscience. If more recent years gyre-glass blades have become a much sort of weapon for people with the means to afford them. It is said that the gyre glass weapons can pierce Mandolarian metal.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Ukeksaeph (Complete)

Ukeksaeph is a complicated hollowed world full of secrets and mystery. House Ravithier’s understanding of orbital physics ensures their rule over the planet is absolute. Early in the Republic, survey ships found a world rich with ore and minerals, and mining began.

Initially, all the materials that were removed from the planet were to be refined and used elsewhere, but as more and more was extracted from the planet, refining and then manufacture developed in the mining cavities.

Now the planet is a hollow sphere with a number of structures are said to orbit within its confines. The one main entrance to the planet’s interior is guarded by Ravithier troops that operate out of the only surface structure: the Citadel which is heavily fortified and is a cylinder of airlocks that control the planet’s internal environment.

Rumours are that the Citadel is of a scale that will allow even the largest of Capital Ships to pass within. Inside is a plethora of superstructures in slow orbit around each other, each with a variable gravity that the Ravithier can control at a whim. Included inside the citadel are arcologies, refineries, manufacturing stations, warehouses, and the ore itself, in massive free-floating stockpiles of material that fuel the planet’s incredible energy requirements. 100 million souls live in the spinning disks of the arcologies.

The Correx Sector Gazetteer - Grieka Alpha and Grieka Beta (Complete)

The twin moons of Grieka Alpha and Grieka Beta share the same orbit around a barren world that in turn orbits a complicated quaternary star system; they are always bathed in sunlight, tide locked to one another, and are bound in a slow death spiral that will see the two moons collide sometime in the next thousand years. Due to their proximity, the twin’s atmospheres are now merging, and due to the gravity of Alpha being stronger, it is ripping the mountains from the surface of Beta. Seismic activity and meteorites are commonplace in regions where the worlds face each other, but for now, the outer faces are relatively safe. Due to the constant sunlight on Alpha, it is a warm and pleasant world that has developed an intensive agricultural industry focusing on luxury wines that are the toast of the Galactic Core.

The export of the wines has had a large financial return for Contessa Wioleta Kanto of House Kanto. Recently they have installed military-grade defence grid to shot down incoming meteors and drive off any would-be thieves and pirates. Under the former leader of House Kanto Count Vedmer Kanto until his death could trace his ancestry to Core World nobility and served until the collapse of the Republic on the sente.

Politically savvy and a gifted orator, Count Kanto was outspoken and critical of Imperial activities within the sector and weathered several attempts on his life. He is widely considered to be in league with the Rebel Alliance, but he is critical of them as well, citing the number of innocents killed in the destruction of the Star Destroyer Emperor’s Will while in the dock at Correx Nova. With the death of Count Kanto, the house is now under the stewardship of Contessa Wioleta Kanto, who has inherited much of her father’s traits.

She oversees House Kanto’s interests, operates out of the palace on Grieka Beta, located in the polar mountains just beyond the rim of the gravitational degradation. The slow destruction of Beta is not without benefits; as the crust is slowly torn apart, great seams of minerals are uncovered and while very dangerous, a flurry of mining activity has begun under Wioleta Kanto’s personal supervision.
