About the Project

After having played a few games of Crisis Protocol ive decided its good enough to warrant a paint job. Completely different to what im used to doing so keeping my goals relatively low. Just need them to be table ready, lets see what happens!

This Project is Completed

Some might say i chose to paint Cap first out of respect for the OG Avenger. Others may say i hated the idea of painting red and white and stripes on a shield…

Thats the base colours done, fyi Army Painter Dragon red and Barbarian flesh were the colours i forgot to photo!! Unfortunately my eyes aren’t what they used to be and so after multiple attempts at straight lines on the shield ive decided to stop for the sale of my sanity! Table ready is the key here!!

So after a dark tone wash, matt coat and a gloss coat for the shield the model is done, just need to tidy up and sort the base

Americas Ass is finished!

It seemed fitting that next up would be Caps old adversary Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones!

Thankfully i don’t forsee to many issues with this one!

A quick brainmatter beige drybrush an he’s ready for some washes

“This is for dropping a building on my face!”

And thats Crossbones!

Now its the turn of Caps mortal enemy the Red Skull. Should be fairly simple with trench coat and a red head! Might try to get a bit of source lighting from the Tesseract.

Then a dark tone wash mixed 50/50 with wash medium and he’s ready to crush The Avengers!

Along with Daredevil Iron Man was one of my favourites growing up and that has continued through the films. Been a long time since ive painted armour so a little daunted by this one. Definitely think ill be getting the inks out!

Now for some more inks. Went back over with a red one to tone down the drybrush and again with  dark tone (50/50 wash medium) to give the finish as much depth as possible.

And thats Iron Man!

“Just a typical homecoming, on the outside of an invisible jet, fighting my girlfriend's dad!”
