About the Project
I've decided to revisit my first historical games and give my minis a face lift. I dug out legends of the old West a month ago and realised how chipped my minis were. So I'll be revisiting my western and my pirates for these classic skirmish games.

It's been some time since I got together with my work mates for a pirate game. I joked the scenario carried on in real time from stealing the ship in the last game to reaching the island here to find buried treasure. There are six possible locations for the treasure. Unfortunately Black Bob and his scurvy scoundrels have also reached the island. Who would find the treasure 
I had seven players each controlling a pirate each while I took charge of black bob. I forgot to take many pics but the crew pushed forward to the dig locations 
Finding the treasure it took two to carry it back to the ship. They got stopped a couple of times but they cut their way back to the ship
Thus chap with the blunderbuss was a problem so getting him in close quarters prevented him using it. His monkey was there for fun. Named blunder monkey by the players
Black bob tried to shoot the enemy in the back lime the scoundrel he is but he couldn't stop the treasure being taken away. He will get his revengeSteal the ship
I got together with some workmates to play legends of the high seas. I had everyone working together as one crew trying to steal a ship from my GM run redcoats. To win more pirates had to be near the ship than redcoats. It was a fun game with running blackpowder gunfights across a market area. The pirates only list one man to gunfire before getting in close and personal with some sword play. The players loved the spectacle of the board and the ship which we nicknamed the MDF colonialism. We are going to do more so we will see where the crew go next.

I just posted this scenery in my rebels and redcoats project but I thought I'd post it here as well to show it being used for a different game. Thanks to on tabletop for the vouchers from terrainfest 
Female oldwest
Great escape games plastic female kit. I've made some to add to the outlaws and some for armed cowgirl and townsfolk. The rest were used in my victorian science fiction project 
18th century civilians
For when my pirates need to sack a town I got these from ratnick miniatures. They do great sets of civilians from the period 
Off the rails
I got this scenery for a Don't look back scenario but I don't have a project covering this. Do instead I'm popping it in here as I can use it in the old West. 
It's easy to break the wheel spokes as they are a bit flimsy Tavern brawl and docks
I picked up some more iron gate scenery pieces so I have enough for the tavern brawl scenario. This includes individual bottles to smash over people's heads.
