Archers and Huscarls
Archers Above all done with contrast paints after heavy dry brush with grey then white. ready for quickshade

Saxons
Starting basing up will be giving a anti shine when glue is dry then some flocking missing two of my Great fyrd just to find them in the rug!

Next up the saxons need some cavalry so got some late roman Cataphracts with kontos and some Arthurian personalities for the command. A roman catapult for some long range and some Armed monks to use as the magic troops when up against the orcs.
Dry brushing
Dry brushing on all model ghost grey on above. Tinny tin followed by glorious gold below.
Sundays work
The missing two ready for quickshade
Monks robes got a coat of snakebite leather and then skin got a coat of darkoath flesh. The staffs a coat of desert yellow, bleached bone on ropes and feet. Pale burnt metal on weapons.
Chainmail and weapons got a coat of pale burnt metal. Spear shafts got a coat of desert yellow and then leather brown on saddles, reins and scabbard.Cataphracts
Ghost grey on all horses and then contrast Basilicanum grey, gore-grunta fur and space wolves grey on horse body’s and skeleton horde on the hoof’s
Earth painted on bases and then glued down ready for a varnish command and support

catapult and crew painted and on base not to happy with use with the saxons so will probably have to start a roman legion now.
