About the Project
So everybody has these: single miniatures just fur fun and paint. They don't fit any category or have yet to find a game they can be used in. In this project I will be collecting those kind of miniatures. It's going to be a mess!

This is my entry for this months PaintComp
More Röknauts!
These little Space Dwarves are so relaxing to paint. Just look at them! Look at them!
using a mixture of classic acrylic paints and speed paints (mostly on gems and the red beard)
Röknauts!
Just in case you haven’t seen these before. I’m painting RÖKNAUTS
Dungeon Masters V
I got home in time to add some wash, let them dry in the sun and then even coat them with varnish
Of course after that we need some glory shots. Take it away!
Dungeon Masters IV
Bases. Since these came without bases I needed to make my own. Use ordinary squares or rectangles? Naaah. I wanted to try my hand on something new so I took some round and flat wood pieces (decorative design stuff from 1€ store) put some putty on and used a textured roller.
Let’s say the result was less then good. Way too deep cuts for the cobblestone texture so it would look comic like. It was so bad I didn’t even bother to take a picture.
Still bases are needed. So I slapped some diluted PVA over them, sprinkled fine sand on top and gave it a black priming with craft paint. Nice. After that has dried I dry brushed it with off white and then used Speedpaints again and the result is: Not groundbreaking but fits the minis.
Next step will be a black wash on the feet and base to tie everything together and then a coat of varnish. Really like the look of these.
Dungeon Masters III
So I asked myself: what would it look like if I just “washed” them with army painter speedpaints?
The answer: AWESOME! 8)
The metallics are non-speed paints but heavily diluted. Once everything is properly dried I will put some wash on the shiny and maybe do some little details like gems. I really dig this look. Next time I will go a bit heavier on the white drybrush.
Dungeon Masters II
Just primed them black and dry brushed with Mummy Robes. They already look so cool this way. I’m seriously thinking about leaving them this way…
