Adeptus Titanicus - the titans

I recently got my hands on an adeptus titanicus starter set for a good price.

I decided to build up two forces using just the starter to use it for quick games. None of us really wanted to invest lots of money just to get playable forces.

For me the highlight within the Box came with the warhound titans. I love the Design of those small beasts.

 

The reavers are the big damage dealers within the Box.

Since decals for legio metalica and legio krytos are pretty hard to get I decidet to paint on the Logos freehand.

So next are the lancers.

We recently got back into playing Blood Red Skies and I took the opportunity to field a new unit of Luftwaffe planes.

The Me109 is one of my favorit planes and I already got a squadron of of the later developed Gustavs. So this time I decided to do the tropical Versionen the F with the addition of one of the  most famous ace. Hans Joachim Marseille, who achieved 158 kills before his tragic accident.

The planes are from ROC works as those come with free foam trays. I dont use the standard advantage system from Blood Red Skies but instead ball bearing magnets.

Next up are some printed Ju87 dive bombers which can be escorted by the Me109.

Avanti! Regia Marina fleet

The whole fleet so farThe whole fleet so far

I finished the Warlord games starter deal for my regia marina fleet. Just a few little planes have to be done for the catapults and carrier.

These models paint up really nice especially due to the red and shite air identification stripes.

The base of the fleet is composed around the Littorio class battleship. I will need 6 more destroyers to finish the fleet to 1500pts. The Aquila carriers air group will hunt down enemy aircraft while the cheap destroyers guard of torpedos and screen the more important vessels like cruisers anf the battleship. I will see how this will work out.

Im currently working on the small aircraft for the carrier and the scouting planes for the cruisers and the battleship.

Realitys Edge crew, first models

So while waiting for some replacement parts for my regia marina to arrive I painted the first 3 models of my Realitys Edge  crew.

I based the background around the same stuff they got as combined army in infinity. So alien races with highly developed technology and the ability to create biosynthetical bodies altering them for their needs.

Thats what I aimed to represent with painting them. The armour stuff should look a bit organic. Except for the skin of the hacker which is mostly human.

This was my first time in airbrush blending and it fastens up the painting progress so much.

For Realitys Edge this gives my my Showrunner which is a hacker (the Lady which is a hacker within infinity aswell) The big dude I play as an heavy cyborg with lmg. The heavy support unit with a big punch and quiet resilent. The smaller one is my tracer, a fast moving crewmember able do ignore obstacles.

I already got the last 4 models here which are more combined army minis. An umbra legat (those sich lord dudes) from the starter will be my close combat specialist and 3 of the batroid bots will become gangers which represent them quiet well.

Battleship LittorioBattleship Littorio

I currently work on the Regia Marina ships of the Warlord Games fleet bundle. Since some of our mfmbers play VaS in the original scale aswell I thought this would be a good start for a rather unusual fleet.

The ships paint up really well and the red and white air identification stripes make them stand out on the gaming table quiet well.

Semper fi! I finished the first USMC platoon except for the SMAW weapon attachments.

These guys will thfn be cramped into the tracks and rush to were the action is.

I will at this point go all in and expand the force to  a full 105p army. Adding some M109 and LAV-25. M60 and VADS will join from my Israeli forces as I dont want to buy these multiple time while just playing them one at a time.

I managed to finish the M1A1 abrams tanks and the first transports for my marines.

 

For the abrsms I went with a modulation and tiny amount of streaking. The Amtracks got painted as usual in 2 Tone camouflage but thfn got a heavy oilwash to make them look really dusty.

 

Overall Im really happy with how they turn out.

Modern USMC

My current project will be a small USMC force roughly in the 2003 era for Team Yankee.

Since TY is set currently more in the 80s and 90s using battlefront miniatures I have to made a lot of modifications.

The 3 main components of the force will contain:

3 M1A1 Abrams tanks

1 Marine Platoon riding in AAVs

1 CAAT Hummer platoon

I started modifying the M1 by sculpting a lot of extra parts in Blender to 3d print them and add them to the vehicles. Despite the stowage this included APUs for the bustle racks, a bustle  rack extension, deep wading adapters and a mine plow.

The AAVP7 just got stowage stuff. At the moment Im waiting to recieve some custom decals for the m1 to add some names to the barrels.

The marines were a bit more complicated.

Here I used green stuff to add flag vests (which cover the 80s webbing too), hoods for the MOPP suits and  goggles and NVG attachmets for the helmets.

The combined anti armour team or CAAT will be represented game wise as a hummwee scout section.

The only thing I added are some field modifications I found on pictures.

 

This little force is for Team Yankee not a playable army but we will use some home brew szenarios which forces players to use more modern equipment, stay away from Spam forces and are a bit more specialized and story driven.
