Hey folks. I’m currently on a sick leave and cannot work. Figured to share with you a fun project finished last Saturday – St.Tuomas – the Armored Train.

The train is a piece of Trench Crusade scenery, to be used in a dedicated “Armoured Train” campaign scenario. It is an almost 4 feet long behemoth of a scenery piece, consisting of a tank engine, two armored wagons and two open wagons, all supported on a set of railway pieces.

My head canon is that St.Tuomas is the patron of explosive ideas, named after an engineer who modified the armored train for frontlines bullet delivery. Specially modified heavy armored wagons will arrive at the frontlines, then open a set of small hatches on the sides . Bullets will rain freely from the hatchets, without exposing the crew nor the rest of the cargo and with no need for the train to stop. Bullet shower so to speak. So – that’s the idea

It was first digitally kitbashed by splitting and reassembling the locomotive of the “German armored train set with Panzer III turret” available at cults3d, then printed in parts, assembled and converted. Lastly – decorated with 3d printed tank traps, sandbags and bullets. The three parts of 16″ long railway tracks are made from scratch.
Figured this might be something fun for you to see.

Will drop some in-game pictures later this week, after I get better and have a game using the piece. Stay tuned!
