It's much more fun if you play with it
I’m not sure why you’d have and paint all this stuff if you don’t play with it.
We broke out ‘War of the Rings’. It’s surprisingly thematic and has a corruption mechanic I really like. The only silly thing is that it’s quite easy for the Good guys to win a military victory.
I played a bit of Amarda which feels very ‘fleets gighting in 2D Space’. Like Flames of War it can become a carpark if you aren’t careful.
This led to us digging out Space Fleet (probably one of the best GW games ever) and playing 10+ games in a row.
We played the final mission of Space Hulk. The space marines died heroically almost to a man ensuring they won the day.
But Warmaster is where it is at, at the present. It’s just spectacular at 3 feet away.
The Ides of March
So I had a bit of time off and smashed out some small scale scenery for Warmaster or anything up to 15mm. BTW these Middenheiem Crossbowmen are Warmaster minis for a 2nd Warmaster Army
March
Well I didn’t get any better at this posting bollocks. March saw me dive into Kill Team and Warmaster. I got my Empire Army finished for Warmaster (well the first 1500 points) and a tables worth of ruins for Kill Team.
February
Ok so I didn’t do better with the posts, but on the positive I painted a heap of scenery that came with the ‘Conquest’ magazine I subscribed to years ago. It was great value but utterly pointless if youneither paint it or play with it. I don’t play 40K but my gaming group does play Kill Team and OPR.
January
I got a bit done in January. I didn’t post at the time. I’ll do better in future. The mounts for the chaos maurauders are mutie mounts from GorkaMorka and had been waiting for paint for 25 years?
