About the Project
I have had this second edition starter set for Bot War for ages and everything else kept getting in the way but after a discussion on our podcast about Transformers I informed my massive transformers fanboy co-host of this fabulous range of minis So here we go or should I say Roll out!!!

So I got this load on eBay for a nice bargain. Under 1/2 the price that it was from the shop the previous owner picked it up

Valinents are built and based. Shall get them primed today.
i have decided the Valiants will always have some sort of roadway/tarmac section on their base so at a glance they are slightly more distinguishable from the baddies
Also I had a mini that I suddenly realised I had forgotten to attach its shoulder cannon. So I glued that on and then knocked something over on the table and it knocked the end of the gun off so I had a thing to do in the end of it

Another of the bigger bots done. I have enjoyed getting to use purple which isn’t a colour I feel like I paint with too often
I know his wings are upside down but I just preferred the look this way
Really like these two little tanky dudes. Not much I could do paint wise with them so speedpaints have worked their usual magic
Not sticking with the colour scheme
So next one done. I decided I didn’t want to do the black and purple again. I am pretty sure that I’ll only ever do the colour scheme as shown on the card if I think it really suits the mini. If I feel when I look at the mini and think it should be blue but apparently it’s green and yellow then it’s gonna be blue!

did some highlights off the speedpaints base coats.

Still trying to decide if I will always follow the card art. I think I likely will but not sure yet
Will add some static grass to the base I would imagine but I will do a bunch of minis together when I do
Getting started and assembling
All went together really nicely.
I had it in my head these were Resin minis but they feel very much like plastic, did something change and they moved to plastics?
Put some simple texture on the bases and straight out for priming
the more I look at these the angrier I get that I put the starter set aside and forgot all about it
Just used some of the Vallejo basing texture and some flock. Will add static grasses etc once all painted
