There’s that dreaded Goryo pairing. Why not, after all that fiddly modelling go ahead and paimt them yellow – the most obviously fiddly and difficult of acrylic translucencies to work with.

Anyway, they’re all done and despite it all, they are very enjoyable to paint.

Painted up, enough of a crew to putt on the table at last.

It has been fun to browse through many silks to find suitable paint schemes. For the Seishin, I chose to mimic Kirai’s chosen colour scheme. The other models are different for on-table readability.

There are a couple of proxies to make up the latest lists, as I have bought nothing by way of “The Other Side” models. Wyrd are clearly pushing that range in the new lists. Sensible, given my previous complaint/observation. Some of these older kits will severely tax some people’s  modelling abilities.

Just look at it, I ask you!? Wyrd's idea of a good time...

An exercise in patience...An exercise in patience...

There’s me thinking it will be fun to paint some nice colourful silks, and Kirai as master would be the perfect excuse…

Word to the wise: theesse characters are the single trickiest miniature I’ve ever built. I got there (90% of the way there with Goryo2) but it was what they call “type-2 fun”.
