About the Project
Digging out my old Lord of the Rings miniatures I cumulated over the last 20 odd years. First I want to make an inventory of what I own and what I'm 'missing'. Then I want to freshen the already painted minis up and get some paint on the rest.

Some brave men, Aragorns and Boromirs:
The next model is from The Hobbit line, Radegast the Brown.
And last but not least Treebeard the mighty Ent carrying Merry and Pippin:
That’s me almost done for this faction, only four more models to go. I hope to finish tem somewhere next week.

Today I touched up the last 22 models I had already painted in the past.
Let’s start with some hobbits.

Let’s flesh out the Fellowship, starting with a couple of wizzards and.

This time around I finished the Hobbits of the Shire blister and I touched up Farmer Maggot and his hounds, 3 Gandalfs and 2 Sarumans/Sarumen.
Here are the pictures of Lobelia Sackville-Baggins and Paladin Took:
Fredegar Bolger and Hobbit Hornblower:
Farmer Maggot and his hounds:
Gandalf on Shadowfax, his face is quite deformed. I have a spare copy of the mini which has a better defined face. Maybe I will it somewhere in the future.
Two Gandalf the Whites on foot:
And last but not least two Sarumen:
Forgotten Kingdoms 39 / 47
I first painted the new boxes of Hobbit Shirrifs and Hobbit Militia
Forgotten Kingdoms 31 / 47
Here’s the starting point of my Forgotten Kingdoms faction.
Some are painted and need a touch up, some are new in box and have to be painted from scratch. I also bought some extra Hobbit Shirrifs, Hobbit Militia and the Hobbits of the Shire.
Elven Kingdoms 39 / 40
I made a little bit of progres since my last post. I touched up Arwen and Frodo on horseback fleeing the ringwraiths and I painted up Haldir.
Before:
Haldir had to be cleaned up with some soapy water and the flash had to be removed.
And after.
Arwen and Frodo:
And Haldir:
Only one model to go, Gil-Galad. He is already on my painting desk.
Elven Kingdoms 37 / 40
As mentioned in my last update I went for the Elven Kingdoms next.
Here are some before shots:
There were 8 models that were only primed, so I painted them in the same colour scheme as the 24 I already had painted. These 24 got a touchup with some washes and a new rim on the base. I now have 12 High Elf Warriors and 24 High Elf Archers.
I also gave Galadriel, Lady of Lothlorien a little touch up.
The second model I haven’t painted yet. I’m not quite sure what the best strategy will be to sell this one. Painted or unpainted?
