About the Project
A Blood Bowl league has started at my gaming group. We're going to play with the new Season 3 rules. I have never had a team before so I went for a team that looked fun to paint. Hopefully playing from January. I can play with unpainted minis, but prefer not to.

Valkyrie
Going for blond with the Valkyries. They have more fun apparently. 
Starting to come up with names for my players. Lagatha seems as good a name as any.Ulfwerner
I kept the skin darker and will be making the beard grey white.
The pelt might be over highlighted because earlier in the coat looked my blue grey and stood out more.
Really enjoyed painting this one. The eyes were tricky but happy how they came out.Lineman
The extra trouse to work on, gave me more space for the plaid to take shape. It was just a case of piercing together a grid of parallel lines in ivory white, introducing a red line and then using Contrast Poxwalker Green to taint the whole area. The white still seemed to stay white enough and the green worked with the zenith to make it all look like a cloth finish.
I chose to give nods to the blue and yellow associated with this team but the metal shoulder pads seemed like a fun and natural choice for me.
The head was apparently meant to be a Berserker head, but I think it suits this guy just fine.Beer Boar
We've all met a Beer Bore. Extolling the virtues of their latest overpriced indi craft beer rhubarb infusion, but this is a beer BOAR. It's quite different.Berserker
The minis were primed dark brown and then zenithed with a white paint. This made it easy to use speed paints and really helped with the skin tones etc.
This was the test model for the scheme and I was happy by the end. Didn't want to follow the box paint job. Happier to be grittier and less colourful.The build
It seems that the latest rules are highly tied to out of the box lists. So I just built the minis as suggested in the box instructions.
Started with the boars and the Berserkers. Didn't like one having a horned helmet and one just bald. There are other viking helms in the team so wanted the berserkers to be different. They will have ginger hair / beards and the only gingers in the team so they pop out nice and obvious for their position.
