About the Project
I have a stack of unbuilt terrain for a multitude of different genres and scales that require building and painting. I also need to scratch build some hedgerows, fences, ploughed fields and rivers.

15mm Roman Watch Tower
I built the watchtower but felt it needed to be raised rather than just sat on the floor, so I built a raised hill for it to sit on. This would give it some additional height.
The base is an old blank CD, on to that I added tome packing polystyrene and cut it to shape. I then covered it in wall filler, so it has some more natural texture. The nest step was to cover it in Stirland Mud from Games Workshop. After that dried I added some sand for more texture in places, then painted and highlighted the flat hill before adding some flock.
Plastic Medieval Buildings
I have two of the Tabletop Workshops plastic medieval buildings and these are the next items to be painted. I’ve made a start on the medieval cottage, first starting with a white undercoat, followed by a coat of bone, the wooden beams have been painted in a wash. Once the base coats have completed the plan is to then add some weathering to finish the building off. Then I plan to do a similar painting process on the Merchants building. At some point I aim to purchase some more of the range from Tabletop Workshop.
Some finished 15mm Sci-Fi
I managed to finish a few pieces of 15mm sci-fi 3D printed terrain pieces. The first couple are two power generators which were painted up quite quickly and mounted of old blank CD’s.
The next lot were some 3D printed drop-pods though these could double up as portable power generators at 28mm scale. Again these were painted and based really quickly using a limited colour palette.
Some finished scatter terrain
This week I managed to get some scatter terrain pieces painted, and one piece of scratch built scatter.
The scatter consisted on some barrels which will work for a wide variety of historical and fantasy genres. A couple of chairs which mainly be OK for any periods from the 19th to 21st century. On top of that a couple of bases of sacks from the market terrain by Victrix. The lastly a small obelisk/way marker which was quickly based and painted.
The last item was a small scratch built standing stones which made use of a couple of pieces of slate. These were glued to the base, then painted and based to look like they were planted in soil.
