About the Project

A couple of years ago I backed the Kickstarter for Ancrabourg: A modular medieval harbor by 3DLayeredScenery. I have since then printed a lot of buildings which are in dire need of some paint. This years Terrain Fest is a good reason to get painting.

And my 3D printers have been working on the background, so here are four extra buildings with no paint on them.

The next step was to block in all the stonework on the models. I did this with my airbrush and used Vallejo Surface Primer Desert Tan – 74613. By now the bulk of the priming is finished. From now on I going to finish one building at a time.

The next step was to block in all the woodwork on the models. I did this with my airbrush and used Vallejo Surface Primer IDS Israeli Sand – 74614. This step took me quite al long time and I’m sure I missed some spots but I will correct them after the next step of stonework.

As a start for the project I took my airbrush and painted the roofs of the buildings. The airbrush realy speeds up the proces.

I used Vallejo surface primer German red brown – 74605. The buildings in black filament take the paint a little bit harder, so I had to give them a couple of coats more.
