It's the last Day of Infinity Week 2013 and the guys are ready to move on to the next of the faction design videos. Lets roll out the Combined Army and have a look at some of the great art before hearing just what the sinister E.I. looks for in its forces.

I really love the Shasvatii miniatures. Even more since I watched District 9 movie.
I never really looked much at the Combined army (normally just PanO blinkers) but I’m going to get the books out and read some more on them tonight. Loving some of the new models!
While the Morat aren’t really my thing, I love the Shasvasti. And they also got Ko Dali now!
Yeah morat starter, the oznat looks very cool she remembers me when in the movie alien vs predator the women get armed with a spear make of the tail of the alien and a shield make of head of alien XD
The shasvastiis are my four army and i started they because it remember me the aliens of distric 9 (great movie) ad the sphinx i so cool XD.

These are the guys I want to start with. The models are much more varied than the other factions as they have more varied aliens. Makes the faction stand out more.
the morat look is something I like enough to forgive their lack of toys to play with. the shasvasti have all the camo and life sucking stuff, but i think It could be fun just to go all out aggression once in a while.

hands down my favourite factions, and the one my wants me to get the most out of all of the different groups.
she’s not much a fan of suits and robots, but when she saw the combined army, her interest REALLY shot up and she pretty much proclaimed that i had to get them. lol

An alien race that looks alien–very nice designs!
I’m not diggin aliens too much, but the late shasvastii models are awesome.
Nothing scares the human factions like the Plasma Rifle and Sepisitor.

What I really like about the combined army is that it can have so many different looks within the same army. It allows you to play around with different paining techniques and colors while still only collecting the one force.
Can’t wait for the Oznat and the Morat starter… I’ll have to pick up some Hungries for it I guess..

I bought Ko Dali just as a painting project, such a fantastic mini, gives Ajax a run for best 28mm in production in my opinion. (Master of carnage from confrontation is the greatest ever 28mm mini)

CB, Please don’t fall trap to the whiners. Special Operative Ko Dali represents a unique direction in the Industry. It’s ridiculous that we have evolving story lines and never change a profile, or major characters critical to the plot never suffer. To all the Yu Jing whiners out there. 1. Use your old Ko Dali miniature as a proxy for a Tiger Soldier 2. Corvus Belli is going to hook you up down the road with another bad ass character that evolves the plot and story.

I gotta say, personally, I am ALL ABOUT mixed armies. This is why I went Chaos in 40k for example. I love the variety and vibrant colors.
The challenge is making them fit together while being different. I generally make that happen with some common secondary colour that’s very eye catching. Something metallic like gold generally works to make it all look unified, but different.
But yeah, combined, amazing faction, but I would not recommend it to beginners :P.
Looking at Gav’s picture, has he joined the combined army?
Showing off the Oznat art is such a tease. Although I’m not looking forward to order-giving Hungries showing up in more games vs. Morat forces. Starship Trooper aliens vs. Crusader Knights is really damn cool in thought.
And yeah, I do love the Ko Dali idea. I would personally really enjoy if the Combined army had a couple of sepsitorized units to play with. It would give you an opportunity to make “evil” versions of iconic units, like the Obalisques, or the Aquilla. Of particular interest would be if a major recreation fell to Spersitor attacks.
What a coup would it have to have a dark Achillies? Though that might be a bit much, and would take away a major ALEPH thing. A more subtle and awesome development would be a dark Diomedes… we know he occasionally dies and we have to get his backup copy… what if one of his deaths was not a death at all, and now he has to fight himself?
Finally a faction I’m not so keen on 🙂 that just leaves ALL THE HUMAN ONES to decide between.
The CA do have a uniquely evil look, completely different from what I’ve seen in other games.
They’re tempting, but will have to stick to just the three armies for now!! 🙂

I love the redesign of Ko Dali, and this from a player who started as Yu Jing and annoyed using her. She is the reason I’ve moved into Combined Army as one of my primary factions.

The Combined army designs are always different but awesome!
I really love the two CA sectorials, Morats is the first true warlike alien society I have seen in tabletop wargaming complete with conscious objectors and cultural elements, just as it should have been, Shasvastii is something to really adore, both physically and in background, their survival drive is amazing!

Reallly nice faction and good thing for player who like infinity in order to discover new abilities that the other factions do not possess. The Shav and their embryo shenanigans are fun like hell.

You know, I was pretty settled that if I got into Infinity that I was going to go with Nomads. These videos have turned it into a very difficult decision. I used to be completely uninterested in the Combined Army, but now… they’re almost my favourite. The Anemathemtics figure (on their website) is incredible.

I don’t know why, but this is the faction that inspire me the less. Still cool but,,,

Combine is nothing if not diverse.
What would be cool is if they made a unit of ‘generic’ transformed humans like Ko Dali. You could take them in Campaigns after you sepsitorize a human and they survive. Would be a fun way to annoy your opponents if you steal their favorite troops!
Very interested in the look of many of the figures from Combine. Plan to pick some up soon, with Ko Dali being near the top of the list.

Got a friend who’s entering Infinity on the Combined Bandwagon, namely the Morat one – WHEN HE HURRIES UP AND BUYS HIS STARTER DAVE, hint hint. On another note, I’m terrified about how hard the oznat is – kills mantises the size of grizzly bears with her bare hands and look at the art book cover.. male Morat in sealed, heated heavy combat armour. Her? Leather bikini and taking her dogs for a walk – no problem.
This art style is very refreshing.

Haqq socialized medicine has nothing on CA’s. They took the poor Ko Dali in, she got her eyes fixed, improved her eating habits, even her hair looks so healthy and thick now!
…now excuse me, gotta go make me an Oznat, if we can’t expect them before November. They’re AVA 2 anyway.

Allot of people weren’t feeling Ko Dali when she came out but she grows on you!
Infinity, one of the best table top games ever invented. I’m a big GW gamer, hell I’ve been one since the Rogue days and I have seen nothing like this, from game system, figures, customer service, etc.
This company is just incredible, they put new figures monthly (Nobody does that) yes they have missed a couple of months but they stay strong.

The idea of the sepsitorized Ko Dali is brilliant and the model looks fantastic. And I’m a Yu Jing player, but the way Infinity is evolved is very nice. Therefore, it doesn’t hurt to loose an option, because there are many others.
It would be nice to have more alien factions or Sectorials of the Combined Army or the Tohaa.
In general I like the style of the Zerat, the Rasyat, the Kurgat and the Raicho very much!Maybe it is time for me to start a new faction!!!

Never realy liked CA (even most of the miniatures look really nice) but Oznat and sepsitorized Ko-Dali are fabulous… So there will be more miniatures with Ko-Dali-esque technology (seems different from the rest of CA)??

THe Haiduk is amazing, they’ve really managed to make a sniper look aggressive.
