Really digging the Tohaa!
The pheromonic language is a very clever idea, ants use a very similar method for communication and being biotech masters make sense to use it. Truly like the fluff and i’ll be nice to see them combined with the Nomads
I really like the armoured models, not so sure on the line troopers, will have to get the starter to ally with my nomads.

Well, it kind of sounds like ‘mass sepsitor’ to me. A little surprised that their light infantry only use standard Combi Rifles. I was hoping for something utterly alien – like Viral/Plasma equipped army. I like the idea of introducing faction specific rules. In the video it said that fire teams are available to all factions…should we expect the Aleph Greek sectorial before the new Mission Book, or is its release linked with the new campaign?

Hey BOW! I’ve been following infinity for some time through your videos and have yet to take the plunge! I’ve been trying to find the right faction for me and, yu jing has seemed like a close bet (those shaolin monks are awesome!) but, not quite! well, after seeing the tohaa and hearing a bit of the fluff, I can definitely say I WILL be picking up that starter (and hopefully more!) once it comes out! Thanks for keeping us informed, and entertained bow!
He talks about how the Tohaa can “exalt” or improve other races, and make them smarter and use them. I wonder if this will show up in the game as a way of having a Tovaa force with some other faction models in them.
It would be nice to be able to start a Tovaa force with the starter box, and then augment them by using some of my Yu Jing until more Tovaa are released. I don’t know if that’s how it will work, but it could be a good way to make the Tovaa easy to expand.
Thanks for clarification on that. I am not sure if it’s the best ‘marketing policy’ – releasing both a new sectorial greatly expanding one faction, and launching a completely new one. I was thinking about branching out into the Aleph for its new sectorial but the new Tohaa also seem like a good choice. Few people will go for both Aleph and Tohaa (both because of the cost and time needed to paint an army), perhaps if the Sectorial came first more people would try it, only to buy the Tohaa later too, unless of course the appearance of the new sectorial is somehow connected with the plot of the new campaign?
Also having visited Barcelona recently, I can’t get over the fact that the guys in Spain have access to so many ‘goodies’ restricted to the Spanish market only. I was green with envy seeing autographed rule books with great graphics and hearing that after the tournament in Galicia there might be a chance to see the CB headquarters/factory.
Are there any plans for wider support of Infinity abroad? Looking at it from the perspective of Poland, I am interested if you have any plans for a Polish translation or any events or support policy in foreign markets. If you’re on a little ‘marketing tour’ please visit us in Warsaw. 😉
I felt a bit stupid when making all the measurements in inches instead of centimeters only because the book used in Poland is the English one. I am sure there is a lot of potential customers/players as Wargaming in general is probably as popular in Poland as it is in Spain. The lion’s share of the market is ‘owned’ by GW, though.
Multiple link teams for the vanilla list? I’m guessing they’re gonna be ridiculously defensive so. And those models are epic, hope they come out next month

Every great scifi setting needs mysterious aliens and Tohaa fit right in. I really like the Clipsos model, but even the normal troops are extremely nice.
I hope there is a good explanation in the Fluff why the different Human Armies are fighting the Tohaa if they are allied, because it would be rather silly to only fight the Combined Army-Players.
Tohaa backround has so much depth.

There are no good or bad guys in infinity, just shades of gray, even the combined, cannot be viewed as bad guys from their point of view they are doing the right thing and whoever is under them benefits too.

Wow I really like the looks of the toha. The background story is cool to, trying to ally with humanity and discovering that it is easy to lie to us. Could wind up being a powder keg for them though considering how unpredictable and volitile humans can be.
I have to be hones here. Althoug new models are always good, I would prefere them to finish the modelranges of the existing factions instead of introducing a new one. But since they have made a really good job so far regarding model quality as well as the , so I could elease ratio, I am still very positive.
By the way, I already spend my monthly alowance so I could really need this mystey price of yours 😉

Great, Infinity has excellent background. One grounded in strict science fiction. There is a.i., hackers and a background of many current nations in the future. There is no “magic” or otherwise fluff pasted in this background to patch up things.

I’ve been really good at holding back expanding beyond the 5 factions I have, but the more I hear about the Tohaa, the more I look forward to getting them as my 6th faction.

Well, I think it will not be hard to justify them fighting any other force. Just like it´s not hard to make any human force fight against Aleph Forces. The dual aspects of each faction, plus the motivations on sectorial armies, make it so that you can even make sectorials inside the same forces, or the same forces fight without so much of an effort. (Intrigue, infowar, dark dealings, all come to mind. My Yu Jing Army is made of vanilla troops, an Imperial Service Sectorial and a JSA Sectorial, I an play them together, as separate sectorials, and even against each other with no fluff problems, specially considering the separatist fluff I got going for my JSA army. They are not happy japanese.) So, like, you could make a team trying to uncover some Tohaa plot on mind controlling key figures of state, if you like the “light side” of your army, or an agressive information gathering (With possible samples taken dead or alive), on a darker side of the things. I can bet there are several Bakunin Scientists and Haqquislamite scientists interested on the new pheromone applications the Tohaa phisiology and technology can bring about (And also see how reluctant our alien “friends” could be on sharing).
Given the Tohaa wishes to have an ‘alliance’ with Humanity, I wonder if Tohaa ‘advisors’ will appear in human lists?

40k has been dying down at my local club with Infinity and WHFB taking its place. I’ve been on the fence with Infinity for a while now however it was the sneak preview of the campaign book that really really piqued my interest, after I finish off paying back some of my loan/debt I’ll be looking at grabbing some Yu Jing.
Also BoW guys if you’re reading this for the last 2-3 months whenever I watch a video on this site it starts off fine but after maybe 40 seconds into it (the video) shifts to the right and I can’t see half of what’s going on. I don’t have this problem when I watch your vids via Youtube. I’m using the latest version of Google Chrome. It didn’t used to happen, do you know how I fix it? Thanks 🙂

CB has given the Tohaa a pretty intriguing background. Considering how the Combined Army has been built up in previous fluff, anyone that can stand up against them must be pretty bad a$$.
The models do look quite good. Although, I haven’t quite made up my mind about the textured symbian armour. I must see them in person before making final judgement.
Either way, I’m really excited for a new race in the infinity universe!

One of the things that really draws me to Infinity is that many of the factions are not so black and white when it comes to good and evil. As a fan of the Bakunin sectorial, I can see how most would view them as criminals (especially given their history), but it seems now as though they have a “good” intent in their battles with Aleph who they see as repressing human freedoms. These shades of grey make the Infinity setting feel more real.
I love how symbiotic armour look like.
I don’t know why but every time I study the “bat” man infantry males I keep envisioning them as a RPG character…for what game I don’t know but I wants them.

It’s nice that Tohaa is just like every faction in Infinity fluff, not black or white, I really like it in this game. But why the most inteligente species in the universe have combi rifles..? I know it’s just a rule, but they could have something different, symbiotic weapons like armors…that would be cool.

Miniatures of Tohaa are strange, but the background looks amazing, i’d like to see how they behave on the battlefield.
Background reminds me of David Brins Uplift Universe… old races ensuring servitude of younger ones by uplifting them.
I am curious what kind of “beasties” we are going to see. Smart move from CB: now they can introduce some cool looking models, that don’t fit in with other armies.
I dunno if I’m enthusiast for the new faction. The look seems very cool though and by the way a new alien/not human faction will mix the fluff for the better, we’re heading for a less human sphere for a more wider slice of the universe. it’s for the better or the best we’ll see undoubtly ^^

The Tohaa would great with a more dark color scheme. They look very similar to YuJing in colors, that said the sculpts of the models are great
