We got a chat with the legendary Ian Livingstone as the weekend comes to life here at the UK Games Expo and chatted with him about his plans for the event and what he's looking forward to.
As a massive board gamer he has plenty to dive into and he'll also be signing Fighting Fantasy books AND talking about his time in the industry.

that has to be the best board gaming group in the history of board gaming. I would have to get Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford and George Lucas round for a game of STAR WARS rebellion to top that.

I grew up on the fighting fantasy books. Legend.
Ian Livingstone, Steve Jackson and the other guy, it’s like the three tenors! Joking aside I loved those books and he seems like a very genuine fellow in person.

Between Fighting Fantasy and early GW, Ian Livingstone played a big role in my life at school in the 80s – a big part in my being on this site right now, even.
I can not imagine having 1000,s of boardgames. I have no idea where I could store them all.
Those where the day`s, sitting down with a cuppa – a book pencil and paper then deciding which book to play. Really enjoyed playing those book`s, will have to dig them out and have another play.
Would love to off been there to meet one of the two men who got me in to role playing, there is always next time.

Please forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.

I would give anything to join that gaming group for a night. I am amazed how dictated Ian Livingstone is to gaming and it must be so interesting to be able to sit down and chat gaming with him. Wow what a legend.!
