Come & Have A Go At The Board Game Library

One of the best things about the UK Games Expo is the Board Game Library where you can pay a small fee and try as many games as you like from their collection.

So, come and give this a go over the weekend and see if anything takes your fancy. THEN you can go and snap up some cool games from the vendors.

Will certainly visit this space tomorrow when I arrive with my boys.

that guys mental in all the best ways.
sir I salute you.

teddymademedoit

Great idea and looks like good guys running it too

swbeil

This is something you see at all the big conventions in the US, super that you have it too.

caledor2

This sounds good, I know a lot people who are interested in games but don’t pick them just in case they don’t like it and this solves their problem.

dane001

That really is awesome, such a great concept

i live in the States but i here in spirit if fact already build some Relic knight today. Prime and base coat this week end if all goes well.

astralwraith

really great idea – try before you buy especially since some games are over the £50 mark – it’s a lot of money to be sitting in a game you never play – it’s stopped me buying games in the past

we4re6eek

Playing games is what it’s all about

crazycabo

Lot’s of games to play

phoen31

Thats a huge library. Should be something for everyone

somegeezer

This was incredibly popular today!

nyilus27

Really nice idea, and I wish I was near Oxford to try it out.

This is what jumped out at me when my son and I went to UKGE for the first time, nothing about this is about the hard sell. It’s about like minded people enthused about games wanting you to enjoy yourselves and for them to show off their game. So much space to game and the Thirsty Meeple guys are just brilliant!!

lawnor

Any chance of a leicester branch soon?

tmon

Being able to play a game first. Excellent!

rasmus

Cool idea – hope they have a tip jar as well

spaderfish

Please forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.

marktarver

Was such a great show, really glad to see you guys in person walking around and providing great coverage.
Ghostel was my favourite purchase and loved Fabled Realms from 4ground.

longshotte

Have seen this at conventions here. It is just a great idea.

If i`d of made it to UK GE, i would of spent all weekend in “the Board Game Library” area. Then it would of been last minute run around buying the games i wanted, and hoping i would get them all before closing time.

I will make it one year, and i will get to play before you buy. As you never know, there may be a game you never considered playing…………………..like a card game, as i`m not a big fan of the just card based games. So the “Library” is a great way to explore all games, wonder if there`s a…………..gaming postal version.

otakugirl

This was cool!

rayzryr

This is great!

rgreenparadox

That is an amazing set up. And only one person has to have the card and all the friends can play.

redvers

Thumbs up to anything that gets people playing games!

julianb

Definitely a cool idea, but that must quite challenging to manage that whole library.
