Infinity Faction Introduction: Nomads

So you've seen how the PanOceania faction measures up but how about their enemies in Operation: Icestorm, the Nomads! These star travellers have separated themselves from the rest of humanity and have taken it upon themselves to forge their own path.
Once again you have a whole bunch of amazing miniatures to pick up for this faction most of which are inside the Operation: Icestorm box itself!

Once again nice but much too short. Now in waiting for main course of the day.
Apart from those pandas and jet pack pussycats I like the nomads range of miniatures; especially their heavy hitters; the gecko and iguana squads and now this new mobile brigade, which I think is the best mini in the Op Icestorm starter set.
I get to play my first demo game tonight. I am thinking that Nomads might be my faction of choice for when I start playing.

Pano are my faction, have been since I started infinity, and aside from a couple of aleph I bought to paint, the only minis I have.
So I’m looking forward to the nomads Im getting in the box, a new army to start, a new paint scheme to think about.

This has been the faction I’ve liked from the first time I saw Infinity. Really great they are part if the starter.
Nomads look great, the Geckos are some of the best figures out.

Nice one, Nomads are one of my favourite Factions. I started playing with Pan O then got me a nice YuJing Collection and then as a reward for quitting smoking a big Aleph Army. Now I will start with Nomads……
I do like their red on black asthetic, and whats not to love about robot attack pandas?

Seeing more of the background is tempting me to get involved with this set rather than get separate bits to get the force I originally wanted. Why must you tempt me so.
I think I like the Nomads just a wee bit better than the Pan O faction but not by much!

It would be hard to only stick to one army, considering the quality of the minies.
Nomads! This faction has been my favorite, aesthetically and story-wise, since I started getting into Infinity. Rage against the machine!

That new Grenz(er) unit looks amazing, well all the models do but I think that one is definitely on my list of favourites, I already have a sizeable Nomads force mostly built around Correidigor but this Tunguska sectorial sounds like it might be my new thang! <3

Amazing minis. It looks more and more that I will split the box with two other people as the terrain and the special minis are only interesting to me being a primarily Haqq player.
One of my favorite faction ! Cool background, and some of the models have a very unique design.
A shame the videos are as short as they are when they discuss fluff.
Looking forward to beating these guys on the battlefield in Op:Icestorm!
The Corregidor central Miniature is by far my favourite! I can see soooooo many uses for a Mini like that!
I was a bit concerned initially that I wouldn’t actually like either of the starter box factions when I picked it up, despite the box being so sexy. However, it’s become clear to me that Nomads are totally my guys. Hackers, space nuns and exploding robo teddy bears? Yes, please.

I love the slightly tongue in cheek narrative in this intro videos. It goes really well with the cartoon style of animation.

These background videos are fantastic. I have yet to try out Infinity but I’m already hooked!
The Nomads are by far the most interesting background wise for Infinity, and some of the new sculpts are making my back balance get very very worried!

The biggest problem I have with infinity is that all the factions are awesome, started with ariadna, moved to haqqislam, picked up YuJing, then nomads… I pretty much define my game by the factions I don’t play :). Boo pan-o and aleph…but hey, look at those tohaa….

I love the idea of Bakunin. You can model your army to be a bunch of chemical dealing thugs, or exotic dancers, both having the same combat prowess.
I think is the faction for me.

Nomads are my army (Corregidor in specific). I can’t wait for this chance to expand my army.
I find their wide rang of tags most excellent.
Watching these at work just gets me all fired up to go out and spend money on my way home!

Like yesterday a good intro video but a kind of déjà vu for well acquainted BoW followers. Anyway you raised up the ante by changing and twisting a bit the elements. As the text remains basically the old standard fluff from 1st edition and no new infos – all in all it’s the right way to introduce something to newbies – I appreciate the up to date choice of models’ photos to show the various units of the faction.
I hope you will done this kind of revamp also for the other factions as it happens that your videos are the main media tools to get people interested through blogs and social networks apart from the best of all way to lure new gamers that remains human interactions live on the gaming table. What I try to say in my lame English is that after demoing I usually send links to your videos to potential new gamers and they do an heck of a job in finalize and persuade.
So thank you lads, go on like that always foward! 😉

the new sculpts are amazing…
As a long time Nomad player I have been resisting the ‘new’ Nomad weapons, as I have so many of the old ones and want my army to look consistent. I am coming around to the new combi-rifles, but I do wish the HMG was a little more ‘beefy’. Really like the new specter and look forward to Acheron Falls for the Tungusta sectorial.
I can’t wait to sink my brush into the nomad minis. I may play Tohaa, but I bleed orange and white for nomads, lol.

I am unsure which of the 2 Starter Set factions i will choose. Both are great.
I think Nomads might be my favourite faction and I have not even played a game. The new minis are just so awesome!
I started with Haqq, specifically Qapu Khalqi, so there are some synergies with the Nomad part of the Icestorm box (Alguaciles and Brigada), so it’ll be a good deal for me. Since I also enjoy Tunguska fluff, I already see my spare money rioting.

When I was first looking at infinity, it was the nomads and their tags that drew me in… however I hated the basic infantry models, and ended up picking a different army. With these new designs, I’m ready to start out with the gang that brought me in in the first place

Corregidor truly emulates the nomadic lifestyle. They float through space selling their men and women as soldiers AND engineers/workers/advisors. Between them and Tunguska it’s a tough choice.
I love those mini-TAGs.
I love the new starter box, but poor Bakunin is not represented. Good thing I already own the Bakunin box.

Love Nomads, since I’m a new player, most people don’t expect the tricks I can pull out.
I’ve warmed to the nomads, initially I wrote them off as they seemed a little bland. But seeing how their model line has come up, end evolved has changed my mind.
Might need to start a new faction now

I have been on the fence with Infinity for around a year now. I have heard good things, but it was just difficult for me to bring myself to invest in the system. This starter box, the models, terrain, exclusives, etc., have really sold me on making the leap into playing Infinity. It is in no small part, I must say, attributed to these series of videos. They have really helped showcase the game for me!
I picked a good time to get into this facet of war gaming, myself and my girlfriend are going to learn this game via the operation: ice storm box we pre-ordered. I myself will be piloting the nomads as I love the aesthetics of the closed, faceless helmets and armored body suits!

Really liking this new Infinity stuff……the basic rules videos are really useful…..My one big hope is that these new rules will get more people into this great game…in my option this is the best small action Sci-fi skirmish game out there…….it deserves more players.

The only thing that bother me is the “paper” playmat, personnaly i would have something like what deadzone offers with their starter box
Nomads is what I want from theme (and possibly Combined army / the new alien race but it don’t seem to be complete yet) and Nomads and Haqqislam from looks.

Fantastic production values as usual, though I would personally prefer a bit of a lessend pre-amble about the infinity universe in general, and find out more about the nomads in general. Though I suppose as a more veteran player, I’m not exactly the target audience.

There have always been a few miniatures that I’ve wanted to pick up just to paint without necessarily needing a full army. The Reverand Custodier with the sniper rifle is one, reaching up to pull back her hood. Just one of many amazing minis for Nomads.
