Fight The American Civil War With New On Bloody Ground Rules

WiP Games and Miniatures has added another set of wargaming rules to their On Bloody Ground collection. This time, you can take their simple, effective Historical wargaming rules and apply them to the American Civil War.

Designed primarily for wargaming with 28mm scale miniatures, this new set of On Bloody Ground rules covers the American Civil War from 1861 to 1865. Choose to fight as the Union and the Northern States or the Confederates of the South. Inside the rules, you find lists for running two key periods for the Early War Union, Early War Confederate, Late War Union or Late War Confederate.

As with all of the On Bloody Ground rules, this set of core rules (no other books required) has been tweaked to suit the period with all of your core rules, period-specific rules and new army lists.

For example, whereas On Bloody Ground rules for Ancient wargaming will focus more on melee combat, this set of American Civil War rules will focus in on shooting. With a solid set of core rules backing it up, this means that you can snag yourself a good set of wargaming rules that should be familiar but different at the same time.

We've talked about the idea of a "one size fits all" wargame in the past and it feels like On Bloody Ground is doing a great job of that currently!
