New Wave Of 35mm Bushido Releases See In The New Year

GCT Studios are taking pre-orders for their next wave of Bushido releases for their 35mm Fantasy skirmish game. A mix of different factions are covered by this new wave, plus the Ring of Fire Themed Warband we had a look at before the holidays.

Ito Konomi // Bushido

Ito Konomi serves the Ito Clan, using her naginata to strike from range. She is great at commanding your fellow Ito Clan members, pushing them forward whilst also making sure that they stand their ground even in the face of fearsome foes. A solid and purposeful figure, represented well in the miniature.

The Savage Wave find themselves welcoming Merlek into the mix.

Merlek // Bushido

Merlek is particularly good at keeping your other Savage Wave miniatures in the fight with a mixture of different powers at the end of his staff. I like the cavorting style of the sculpt, in the middle of leaping up and down as he waves that staff around and summons magic to aid him.

Turning to the forces of the Descension, feathers will fly with the introduction of Wuzan.

Wuzan // Bushido

Wuzan is decidedly creepy but is actually quite inspiring to other Tengu nearby. Wuzan also has a special ability where he gains tokens when other Tengu die around him. This then enhances Wuzan and unlocks powers for him to cause even more terror. You could imagine this fellow dashing out of the shadows, looking to slice your face off.

The Shadow Wind Clan can call on the aid of Obaachan in their skirmishes.

Obaachan // Bushido

Obaachan is an aloof, deadly swordswoman who doesn't take any nonsense from anyone. I really love the sculpt for her, smoking away on her cigar as she takes in the fighting going on around her, waiting for the right moment to strike. She has a great selection of different abilities you can check out on the link above, making her a lynchpin for your Shadow Wind Clan force.

Last but not least, we have Kuna for The Awoken.

Kuna // Bushido

Spin a web of seduction, spirits and souls with this creepy new addition to what's available for The Awoken in Bushido. I love the sort of "false face" that Kuna has, hiding the creepy, twisted body that lies beneath that robe. You could imagine the folds of her dress starting to move as the legs extend and the scuttling begins.

All of these miniatures are now available for you to pick up for games of Bushido in the new year.
