Droids, Walkers & Star Wars Specialists Coming Up For Legion
January 14, 2026 by brennon
Atomic Mass Games has introduced some more updated sets coming for Star Wars: Legion in March. We have new sets for the Republic, Separatists and the Empire, covering specialists and walkers for these factions.
Republic AT-RT // Star Wars: Legion
First up, we have the reissuing of the AT-RT miniature for those running a Galactic Republic army. This features the same miniature that you'll be familiar with but new cards which match the updated version of the game on the tabletop.
Republic AT-RT - Miniatures // Star Wars: Legion
It's a nice miniature that was familiar to me from playing a lot of Star Wars: Battlefront. It might have made you quite a target as you were riding around but you could do some serious damage! It is also the early take on the one that you will have spotted in the Rebellion era and that initial Starter Set for Star Wars: Legion.
Specialist Droids
If you're looking to do something sneaky behind the scenes with your Separatists, then you can also get the BX-Series Droid Commandos for your army.
BX-Series Droid Commandos // Star Wars: Legion
This set introduces the BX-Series Droid Commandos and an optional BX-Series Droid Commando Strike Team for use with the rest of the Separatist Alliance. This introduces a more agile option for your army, allowing you to seek out objectives that might have seemed out of reach.

You can arm your BX-Series Droid Commandos with a range of weapons like blasters, vibroswords and deflector shields. A seriously cool set for those who want to unleash some of the deadliest miniatures that the Separatist Army has to offer.
Imperial Specialists
Moving into the era of Rebellion, we also have the Imperial Special Forces set, which brings the elite Inferno Squad to the tabletop for your Empire army.
Imperial Special Forces // Star Wars: Legion
This allows you to build your Imperial Special Forces squad but also the Inferno Squad members, Gideon Hask and Del Meeko. You can go for the character's heads or give them their helmets if you prefer. Another great way to dive back into Star Wars: Battlefront on the tabletop.
Imperial Special Forces - Miniatures // Star Wars: Legion
I like that you could put together some fun and interesting scenarios using a lot of these specialists from Star Wars: Legion, especially if you go for the skirmish side of the game. You could have lots of mini-objectives in your games, as well as the big ones that the regular troops need to worry about.
All of these sets will be coming out in March, giving you new and updated options for playing games of Star Wars: Legion.

Just last night I told the audience that I’m happy with not buying anything at the moment because there is nothing for my SW:L factions coming and now you tell me there will be Imperial Special Forces? Great! Now I have to spend money again! *throws table* XD
The b@stards…how could they do that to you!
exactly!
isn’t that a re-release / re-box of an existing unit ?
those droids definitely have been released ages ago, so I’d assumed the other boxes are not exactly new releases as well.
Yeah these are the reboxes, with new cards. Next brand new releases should be imperial high command, probe droids, hoth forces boxes, with the older hoth models going into hard plastic and han and luke on taun tauns
Technically yes but a) better minis since they are now proper sprue minis and b) SW:L 2.0 has bigger units so you want more of the same minis.
so higher prices per model as well … because things never ever are cheaper 😉
