Soar Through The Cosmos With Bombshell’s Scout Ship Kit
March 2, 2026 by brennon
Bombshell Miniatures has recently added a rather nice kit to their webstore for those seeking to head out into the black in a retro Sci-Fi spaceship. See what you think about the ISW-71B Scout Ship, a full 3D printed kit for you to build.

This kit comes with an impressive ship that wouldn't look out of place in a classic TV show from the raygun-infused Sci-Fi of the 20th Century. The ship has been scaled for 28mm to 35mm scale wargaming and comes with a mixture of payloads.

As you can see, the interior of the Scout Ship is fully detailed, making it perfect for those who enjoy a skirmish game or two. I like the idea that you glue it in such a fashion that you can remove different sections of the ship, meaning that you could play around inside of it.

The temptation to paint this in bright orange and send it flying to the moon with a crackpot inventor and his dog is high. Can someone please sculpt Wallace and Gromit but with a retro Sci-Fi aesthetic?
What do you make of this Scout Ship?

This is a nice design but *obviously* it needs to be red with a bright yellow lightning bolt on the side. Because, as everybody knows, RED ONEZ GO FASTA!
FUTURAMA!
The Planet Express Ship, “Ol’ Bessie”!
Capabilities: Capable of traveling at 99% of the speed of light (after the speed of light was increased in 2208).
Engine: Powered by a dark matter reactor that allows the ship to remain stationary while the engines move the universe around it.
Function: Used by the crew for dangerous delivery missions, featuring a dorsal-mounted laser turret, torpedo tubes, and a customizable interior, including a kitchen and game room.
Also, it’s $100USD. Ouch.
It’s nice, but not $100 nice.
Crooked dice do something similar for £70.

Nice
Good news everyone! We’ve found just a fully functional company ship. Unfortunately due to the cutthroat IP legislation of Geewullu Prime we’ll need to sacrifice some of you to do business in that sector
That’s got some real “outer worlds” vibes.
That’s giving me Saturday morning Flash Gordon vibes, lovely kit
