We finally get a look at some painted miniatures and more for Star Wars: Shatterpoint throughout next year! Yes, these new miniatures are going to be landing in 2027 but it's great that we've finally got a look at all of the figures we'll be able to snap up for the sequel trilogy.

We start with the painted miniatures for Alone With Friends. We'd previously seen these miniatures as renders but now we're getting a look at the final look of these figures. I think the aged Han Solo looks great and Chewbacca is ready to blast First Order Troopers with his bowcaster. You also have Rey, as she was on Jakku, perhaps in the moment where she rescues BB-8 and has to flee with Finn. From what I remember of the previews, Finn has a couple of options where you can have him with a lightsaber in hand or with a blaster at the ready.

I quite like the idea of running Finn with a lightsaber at the ready, taking on the role of a Jedi as he should have done during the sequel moviesThe dynamic figures from this Squad Pack are also joined by new good guys in the form of the We Are The Spark Squad Pack.

As well as the main characters from the sequels, we also have this set, which introduces a version of Poe Dameron from the second and, most pertinently, third movie. He looks rather dashing, as he should, and I hope that he comes with some great rules. He is then partnered up with Zorii Bliss, who was a spice runner with Poe back in the day. She didn't really get much of a showing in the third movie but she looks cool at the very least. Again, maybe Shatterpoint could be an opportunity to get more out of Bliss and have some fun with her background.

Poe and Zorii are backed up by two Resistance Fighters, mirroring the Rebel fighters from other Squad Packs. Again, these look nice and I like that they've got them in dynamic poses. I think they should be fun to paint as well, even though I barely remember them ever being on screen for much during the sequel trilogy. Such wasted opportunities!

The Dark Side

As well as the heroes of the tale, you can also pick up the villains. We start with a great look at the miniatures (finally!) for I Will Finish What You Started, the set that comes with Kylo Ren!

This set comes with an awesome-looking Kylo Ren, striding forward into the heart of the fighting with his blazing lightsaber at the ready. Kylo Ren is then backed up by two First Order Troopers and FN-2199, who are going to be fun to paint. I hope that everyone who plays with this squad shouts "Traitor!" before they activate FN-2199. I sense this is going to be another good starting point for those diving into Star Wars: Shatterpoint. You get Kylo Ren to paint, who is basically all black, and the First Order Troopers, who are just white!

The above Squad Pack can then be bolstered with the addition of On My Command, which features Captain Phasma, another underused character from the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

You can use this to play out those initial moments from the sequel trilogy where you murder your way through a village in search of Poe Dameron and the map to Luke Skywalker. You even have the First Order Trooper with his flamethrower at the ready to scour away your enemies. I also quite like the idea of painting one of the First Order Troopers with the bloody smear on his helmet, perhaps telling a story where Finn doesn't join the Resistance and simply keeps fighting alongside Phasma.

I would guess (by looking at the artwork) that you'll also be able to build Phasma with her melee weapon. I like that we seem to be getting a few alternative builds from a number of the characters here, allowing you to change things up to suit the look that you prefer.

I would say that it's a bit of a shame that this is all we're getting from the sequel trilogy (seemingly) but I can't really see what else they'd add into the mix. No other characters really stand out beyond what you see here.

I still think we're missing some key figures from Star Wars for Shatterpoint. It would be great to see the Emperor and his Royal Guard. I'd even be happy to see some Gungans! Heck, I would love Atomic Mass Games to finally give us Droideka, but alas, I don't think that will happen at this point.

What do you think of the miniatures for 2027 now that we've got a better look at what's coming?
