Wrath of Kings Week: Faction Guide – Nasier
January 31, 2017 by dignity
It's time to visit the largest nation in the Wrath of Kings continent, Kartoresh where we will discover the mask wielding warriors of the House of Nasier.
Watch Wrath of Kings Week
Sometimes the fire elemental infused masks of the Nasier warriors have more control of them than the other way around leading to some monstrous units being found amongst their ranks.
Justin also takes the opportunity to find out more about the defence chart which each unit in the game has and how they are utilised in-game.

This video is private…
Sorry about that, video is now live.
You don’t need to see this video. I’ll tell you what it says: Nasser is awesome. You should definitely get Nasier. Dual-wielding Swordmen (Ashmen), semi-naked crazies with skin like stone (Pelegarths and Pelegarth brutes), and fire magic. Much fire magic.
Even the bog standard line swordsmen of Nasier look badass.
Comment to win!
Nasier needs a cavalry. The big dudes are nice but a guy riding a critter would be more fun to paint. Maybe some type of prehistoric rhino would be a good mount.
Fluff is great so deep but models are not my cup of tea I like women with rihno skin, I would buy them just for having it in display cabinet.
Nasier is certainly a tough house, and without want people to see the human form.
Hmmmmm
Definitely some cool looking models. Don’t know if I’d call them my favourite.
I have these guys but I just cant take serious the Pelegarths. I do like that they don’t have the perfect super model body, but the band-aids over the nips make them look like some sort of S&M party goer.
They got some pretty nasty attack that i love,…. maybe this one for me but i have to put my mask on, just to be sure 😉
Thees look nice!
The foot soldiers (Ash soldiers, I think) look really good. I would love to paint some of them.
I do like the look of this faction, I’ve still got to try them out on the table though.
Another interesting house. I like having a tool to fit each situation and those Ashmen do look nice, can’t wait to see what is coming out for them in the future.
Loving the world building with this game delving into the social background and how it ties into the aesthetic of the Factions, in this case the traditions around the wearing of masks amongst House Nasier.
Theses guys are basically Samurai/Oni wearing possessed Kabuki masks, awsome 😀
Nice to see an aversion of the Squishy Wizard trope with that Rathor Sharman.
Awesome looking faction:D
Nasier seem to like their masks.
Look to be some really interesting kits, of them I think sorry to say the lady is the most lacking but she just seems a little out of place compared to all of the male basic troops which have a very interesting design.
But those big demons I really like the mask one seems interesting, the basic guys are alright but I think for me it is basically the big guys, and those basic troopers which really steal the show in this lot 😀
Very stylised faction. Very Japanese Onion type of look, very cool.
Love the fluff for this faction, and as always models are fantastic. We’re the models Dave’s personal, or studio models? Dave is a great painter so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were his. Awesome vid.
Sell me on Nasier BoW! Go!
Yep, sold. Now just waiting for Hadross to be sure but yep Nasier are amazing looking and particularly liking the Bloodchild.
Damn it!!! I’ve bought some! This is your fault BoW!!!
Not even got an opponent at the moment but the minis look so nice. They’ll be a painting challenge if nothing else!
😛
Is there a painting guide for the miniatures or just the fluff books?
We have a Wrath of Kings painting tutorial releasing soon this week, where Romain will be painting the Longhorn from the Nasier faction.
Wow – the Nasir really do look impressive!!
“Comment to win” – My favourite phrase on BoW.
the Nasier are missing something to appeal to me personally
One-on-one combat in a miniatures game sounds very cool!
Nasier are just great. The “evil” looking faction who are actually some of the most trustworthy and honorable, but just a little bit Machiavelian too.
Clearly a Japanese feudal influence on the background of these models. I was surprised to hear all of the fluff about the masks and the sort of day to day aspects of the House Nasier in this video. I haven’t read any of the fluff, so this was great filler.
The Mike Mignola, Hellboy-esque style of this faction is what drew me to them originally- but guys… No Greathorn? How could you miss showing off that lovable big lug?! 😉
I really like the Ashmen miniatures.
I rank Nasier right up there with Teknes in that the force is great for both beginners to war gaming and experienced players. Their abilities are pretty straight forward for ease of learning, but when working together add the complexity needed to make it feel like a very tactical force in game. Though they have elements that run straight forward and smash, their real strength comes in knowing when to let those elements do that so the rest of the force is now in key position to strike using their own strengths.
These guys look awesome cant wait to give this game a go
I think that, at least for me, the Nasier were the first faction in the original Kickstarter that caught my attention. Then I stayed for the Shael Han and the Teknes. The visual aspects of the art and the models from Wrath of Kings really appears to be done top notch. I want to see this game succeed.
The 2 factions you show us is really attractive, dont know this game before but I’am on it now.
The minis are cool, but I think I’d choose another faction over this one.
I like the look of a lot of the models in this faction as well as the masked society background. However, I like a little more flexibility in my forces during game play. However, I think the Nasier is right up my friends’ alley as he really does like single purpose units as well as factions that can move the enemy where he wants them.
Started the episode thinking I liked the faction the least but I now like a lot of the minis and have warmed to their back story.
Very nice models.
The Nasier look awesome! I am sure my son would be on board for them. He really like feudal Japan armies.
Love the Nasier !!!
Nasier have the best models in the game imo
The background was something I didn’t really know and appreciated. My main opponent plays Nassier, so mostly I have only terrible things to say about them. Great job though with the video.
Dueling Samurai & Massive Demons rampaging the battlefield. Yes please! Strong contender with Goritso for my first faction in WoK.
These guys are my favourite faction! I love the esthics with the masks. The only annoying part was putting on those tiny little horn things. Man that was delicate work!
Ashmen look good, masked samurais powa
Really like the unique lore think my boyfriend has is eye on this
Not surprisingly CMoN are putting out some really cool minis. I have to agree with caladors, that to my eyes the pelegarths look a bit off. The fluff for this game though is sounding really fun.
This is what happens every theme week…. See the first faction video and go “vamps and werewolves, fast movement… Totally my faction” next day next faction video goes up…. “Cool masks and great tactics…. Leader that makes the enemy explode and showers other foes with bone shards…. New favorite faction”… Sigh. Sucks being poor. Want to play them all. See you next faction video when I drool over my new favorite faction.
Mine are still in the box, KS was too tempting. Nasier are still behind Shael Han though.
The back story is very interesting
I like the look of the Ashmen. The other models are not really my thing.
These guys look great .
My favourite faction so far this week. Love the brutes with hammers.
These look fantastic
I like the models.
Interesting idea to put on a mask to show your are in function. And cool that the mask can “take over” so you change in a big nasty fire elemental.
Really like this faction: great minis and great fluff!
Thanks for the presentation guys
These masks need some gloss varnish!
My favourite of my three WoK armies 🙂
I know I’, repeating myself, but….gorgeous miniatures. Really like the idea behind this faction, but like the Goritsi better.
nice’r’
Nasier were my first faction and I have had good success with them (especially against Goritsi!)
And another awesome faction with characterful minis. Making it hard to choose guys.
They look interesting but I like the wolves 🙂
Nasier all the way 😀
love the look of the ash men
Might have to get some of them for ” other projects “
Those are some real cool models!
I said yesterday that I might be partial to House Hadross, but I might need to revise that statement. Nasier looks pretty sweet, the background is awesome, and the play style sounds fascinating. I want one of the Rathor and the Greatwing on my table now!
These don’t appeal to me as much as those werewolves do, but that Shaman is pretty darn impressive!
Not bad. Still think the werewolves are my favorite.
I think all the models are cool but my fav I have seen are Teknes.
I love the big warriors.
Pig warriors
The Nasier is quite an iteresting looking bunch, I like the colors of the models and the red masks create some nice features. Look on the bright side with these red masks at least you don’t have to worry about flesh tones for facial features. I am looking forward to seeing these warriors in action.
And the second faction I went for but will struggle to find time to paint or play however they’re just stunning figures.
Demonic swordsmen or Werewolves. Decisions…
Will there be a beyond the starter sets section for the factions?
Nah – still can’t decide which faction I prefer. Maybe I need to watch a battle report… see you there!
The whole concept of the masks is great, I love the way that sort of fluff can infuse the actual gameplay with more meaning.
My favorite model by far are the Ashmen, they just look intimidating.
Very cool. Game looks better each time you see a new video
Nasier would be my second choice, they have a great theme and backstory
Do they still come with the deep insert bases, or are they more standard size now?
Hearing the background has really upped my interest in this faction, don’t know why but I thought they where more demon based
Interesting faction. Pretty cool.
The Ashmen look particularly nice.
These are the faction that caught my eye to begin with, I think they look so cool.
Oh I like these. The werewolves are good but these are superb!
I swear you’re doing this in the order I would pick. First werewolves, now demon samurai!
The backstory for this race reminded me a lot of the Seguleh with masks denoting your place in society. Am I the only one getting Book of Malaz out of these guys?
Just ordered the starter box set…. I’m very impressed with the miniatures, the story line and gameplay. It steps into a very unique fantasy setting…..
The element mask/dark samurai theme is soooo cool. This seems like a very structured military force. It is either this or the Shael Han for me. I am leaning with the latter because I think the elephant and pada warriors are from this faction.
Ok, so this house just got way cooler than I thought.
I like the pelegarth leader, something you wouldn’t want to run into in a dark alley, but now I want a leader with a bread mask…+2 to deliciousness.
I am really digging the new CMON Miniatures here. Really cant wait to get my hands on them. I also like the revised edition of the rule book. Seems simpler a lot better than last years version.
I do like how the Faction background society works with the Masks. Very neat.
Nope, not doing it for me.
The big beasts of Nasier look amazing.
Nasier are RAD!! Awesomely good looking faction.
I’d love to try this game, it really follows a Confrontation esque art style.
In Kartoresh… mask wears you!
Nasier look great
Horny people.
Bigger you are the harder you fall.
great looking faction
Was getting a much more sinister vibe from em at 1st glance but the lore is kinda awesome, didn’t expect that
Bought some Hadross for my wife to paint a while ago. Been dying to actually try and play one day soon if we grab another faction (or the 2 player Starter).
Love the look of the Ashmen, very similar to my Skorne Swordsmen.
interesting but the werewolves have it so far, who gets the elephant we see in the artwork?
Finally an initial faction
Finally an oni faction
Comment to win I never win . The models look cool not sold yet.
One of the most cohesive looking factions. They’re the first ones that caught my eye.
great models
Nasier ended up being my second faction and I was happy to get a decent deal on some Nasier stuff from someone who had backed the Wrath of Kings kickstarter heavily.
You have just made this complicated, the fluff for these just sounds divine. Simple answer is, well I am going to have more than one function
*faction
I’m so glad Nasir and Goritsi are in the 2 player starter because I don’t think I could chose between them; I love the Japanese influence on the troops and it sounds as though there are a lot of (necessary) combos between the different unit typed to allow each to work effectively.. which is something I like to build into my own armies for other games.
Again beautiful models but the fluff is not calling to me.
Love the character models in this faction. Reminds me alot of Hellboy which is always a big plus in my book.
I like Haross… but I’m really starting to like Nasier as well! Hmm.. just might have to strap it to my face…
I meant Hadross.. lol
I really like the Pelagarths in this faction.
Initially I wanted to check out the video to see what the models were like to decide if I wanted to use them for Frostgrave. 😉 But now I think they’re cool enough that I’m considering playing Wrath of Kings. 🙂
So many comments. Well add one more to the mix. Nasier FTW
Interesting concept for this faction let’s hope Hollywood doesn’t try to turn it into a movie
Board control can be tricky to play. I’m really liking the aesthetic of Nasier.
Not my cup of tea style-wise, but nice minis nonetheless.
Really like Nasier, that’s the second faction I own. I want them all!
I really like the fluff of this army. The look of them had me somewhat interested, but the fluff sold me on the miniatures. I think I might have to go out and get the two player starter box as both of those factions are pretty amazing.
These guys might be the one for me fluff wise. The mask culture sounds interesting in how deeply ingrained it has become to define identity and purpose.
I really like the look of these guys
I like the mask concept.
Nasier are my favourite faction by far. Their models, fluff and playstyle are perfect for me, and their motivations add so much depth to their actions.
This is def my favorite faction so far, those Swordsmen are so cool.
Really like this faction.
House Nasier is looking so good and now that i know more of their actual abilities iam then before inclined to play them.
There are some nice sculpts in this army, but I don’t like every one of them
Very stylised faction and great background, they have some wonderful miniatures too
Maybe not for me but would love to fight against these guys !!
Watching this again to work out how I want to develop my force now 🙂
I like the look of them dont want to meet these guys in a dark ally
really love the ashaman models, not to mention demon masks are always a good idea
This game looks really fun. I wish it was distributed in Eastern Europe :<
Those look so incredible.
I like the masks this faction has.
Love this faction!
Bloodchild and Ashmen look amazing.
Oh that samurai-esque feeling is very nice. Great feeling overall on these!
I really didn’t want to like this game as I’ve got so much on the go right now but damn it’s really hard not to want to start playing!
Now made myself to adquire 2nd edition of D&D but will try to find sometime to read the rulebook and playstyle for Nassier, im lured on this since i saw on the net, so sooner or later will grab a box!
I like the shattering strike ability. Quite like the mask lore also.
Intersting. Its like a faction of demons, but they aren’t necessarily evil.
i think this is my faction…or Goritsi… i just can’t decide
Love the idea of these guys Samurai meets fire demon. Minis look like they would be great to paint
Great content this week, which is awful for my wallet because now I want to start collecting WOK
not my favorite but they look good
Great looking faction, and back ground story. Not sure if there the faction i would go for, will have to look at all faction`s and take it from there.
Still think Vampires look steaming hot.
Nasier are very cool. But goritsiare the way to go
I love the look of these models, best looking demon sculpts I have ever seen
I like the masked culture for this, reminds me of Michael Moorcock but in a good way with the Hawkmoon stories. The acutal power of the masks is cool too, reminds me of Majora’s mask, the old Zelda game.
Very nice army, can’t wait to see what else they come up with.
Not my faction but the minis look fantastic.
these guys look amazing
Honestly wasn’t really convinced by the Nasier at first glance, but the more I look into them the more tempting I find them as a faction. And you really can’t argue with the value of that starter box!
Why, oh why, do these appeal to me. Am I two faced, …
Rely cool sounding house. love there look; not so much the Bloodmask but i do like the idea of them.
Being honest before i say this video i did not like this house. though now that i have seen it, dame. i am in love.
awesome.. 2 favorite really like the minis
