That’s a wild way to get into Dune, @sundancer ! My father’s friends were mega-nerds, all military, air traffic controllers who were engineers that couldn’t get jobs for whatever reason. They used to tell him about books they read, and then I would go find them at the second hand book shop. It was a neat time.
